Townhouse on the waterfront in Hundested by Lynæs Harbor
Description
Charming historic townhouse from the 1800s. Fantastically located on the waterfront at Lynæs harbor in Hundested. Centrally located in the middle of the street and yet scenic with only 200 meters to the authentic port of Lynæs. The beach can be seen from the house and is just a short walk down the road. Lynæs harbor has a fantastic swimming area for year-round swimming, rental of surfing equipment and a private sauna as well as beautiful restaurants and ice cream shops The house has been carefully renovated and decorated with respect for the age and history of the house. The space The house is an old historic and conservation-worthy fisherman's house from 1880, very unique and charming with latticed windows and beautiful decoration on the entire facade painted by a local artist. The house has a long history and is known throughout the city. With a beautiful and at the same time central location in scenic surroundings. We call the house our Italian-inspired Casa Rustica with all its unique random charm. In the most beautiful location in North Zealand, but only a short hour's drive from our beautiful capital in Copenhagen. In its early years, the house served as the city's timber trade and merchant farm, until it became a boat building hall for the world-famous Lynæs dinghy in the middle of the last century. For the last 70 years, the house has been rebuilt and served as a home. You arrive at a black gate that separates the neighboring houses, which forms the frame of the courtyard and the entrance. The house has 2 floors and access to the first floor is via an old nostalgic steep chicken staircase, which is part of the house's history. Therefore, our house is not suitable for small children or those with walking difficulties. We therefore only recommend children from the age of 7 years of age in our vacation home. The back of the garden belongs to our home, and we have a lovely furnished orangery, which is built of old materials originating from Christiansborg, which is the Danish Parliament. In addition, a covered pergola with garden furniture and a grill that our guests can freely use. Our guests can expect to meet our neighbors, as our home is part of a large community of almost 400 sqm of housing. Therefore, we also expect mutual consideration for each other. We have private parking for 2 cars at the back of the garden. During the stay, the following are included in the fee: Bed linen, towels, consumption costs for water and heating, as well as soap, shampoo, etc. Welcome to our house. Guest access Upon arrival and departure to/from the house, the handle must be pulled upwards so that you can turn the key and lock the front door. The house is about 100 sqm. On the ground floor there is an entrance hall, a large kitchen/living room with a wood-burning stove and a workstation. The house's bathroom is also on the ground floor. In front of the house is a small courtyard with beautiful flowers, as well as a cozy bench where you can enjoy a cup of coffee. The yard and garden are shared with our neighbors. Our guests have access to the back of the garden by the parking space, with an orangery, pergola and terrace. Via a cozy old staircase, there is access to the house's first floor, here are 2 bedrooms with super good beds and a living room with TV, music and board games. Other things to note The windows on the first floor are low. In addition, the old staircase is steep but authentic and charming. There is a wood stove in the house, and guests are welcome to use it with their own kindling wood or briquettes. There is no shielding in front of the stove and guests must empty the stove of ash if it is used. The house is located in the building street. So for all the above reasons, we point out that the house is not suitable for smaller children. We recommend the house for couples, or generations with older children.
