The space Our Highwoods house offers views year-round, pool in the summertime (June to early-September), hiking on premises, 19th century barn, large screened in porch with flagstone floor, two fireplaces that accommodate candles, wide-board pine floors, private feeling but easy drive to town! Kitchen, dining room, living room, breakfast room and large screened in porch. One double bedroom with private bath (shower only) on the first floor. Two bedrooms with double beds, and one TINY bedroom with a single bed, on the second floor share a bath (with tub). We welcome guests looking for longer stays (4 weeks or more) and can work out special packages. Please note that there is a propane surcharge for heating the pool IF you choose to use it. We can provide details on pricing. As hosts, we will be available to welcome and orient guests but will not be on premises. It's all yours! Private space but in the middle of what is happening! Trains to Rhinebeck and buses to Woodstock but transportation needed to house and during your stay. Guest access We will meet you with the keys. Other things to note Rooms have ac units and lots of fans! Our rather large pool is in full sun. If you wish to use the pool heater there will be a surcharge for propane usage. Surcharge for guests over our maximum of 6. We have put in a WATER FILTER so all those reviews you see about sulphur odors and iron stains are obsolete --- YEAY! In 2025 there may be inside painting and finishing being completed in a separate building on the property.
