The space Forest Garden is a unique space with high ceilings, surrounded by large windows , fine architectural details, art -- a place for refuge, rejuvenation, rest and contemplation. Ten acres of outdoor space, with a flowing stream and walking trails, which makes for an incredibly peaceful getaway. There are two long-term tenants living in one of the additional on-site buildings. Feel free to say hello or thank them! They help us maintain the property's natural beauty and the trails, as well as our turnovers between guests (please also keep this in mind for cleanup when checking out). If you're interested in visiting with more than two guests, please let us know, as there is a full-size air mattress available for use upon request. ********************** SPECIAL NOTE *********************** While Forest Garden is a dedicated space for guests, there are additional rooms in the Main House which may be rented under special circumstances and at an additional cost. Additional rooms include: - Bedroom: 1 queen bed - Bathroom: Full bath - Living Room - Atrium: A large (300 s.f.) open space with 25' ceiling topped by a clerestory. Please contact the host for further information about costs and images. Guest access Guests have full access to Forest Garden and the paths that wind through the woods. Feel free to explore, but please respect the space (and insurance limitations) of the other buildings on-site, and the privacy of our long-term tenants! Other things to note Please keep in mind that the plumbing at this location is EXTREMELY sensitive -- toilet paper only! WiFi: While Forest Garden is meant to be a getaway in a rural setting, we do provide satellite-based internet service with speeds that allow for most connectivity needs. This includes the ability to send/receive email, VOIP, ZOOMing etc. The main limitation is the streaming of movies and live events, especially in HD. These end up buffering, which results in interruptions and, in our opinion, isn't worth the effort. But most all other levels of connectivity are fine. Unlike hard wired optical high speed internet, satellite service can be temporarily interrupted by inclement weather. If you experience internet issues, please let the host know ASAP.
