Tiny House Farm Stay

Description

Reconnect with nature surrounded by 45 acres of farmland just 25 minutes from Traverse City. The tiny house is nestled between tall pines overlooking a pond and beautiful sheep pastures. Close enough to enjoy all the amenities of Lake Michigan and Grand Traverse but away from the bustle to enjoy farm fresh air and glorious sunrises/sunsets. The Tiny House boasts a cozy sleeping loft as well as a kitchenette and bathroom with shower. The space The tiny house is yours to enjoy, the main farm house sits just up the hill. The loft bedroom has a brand new full mattress. Our mobile sauna can be ready just outside your door. Let us know what time works for you and we will have it ready. Guest access The tiny house yard is a park like sitting area overlooking a sheep pasture and pond. You are welcome to walk around the pond area and inside the fenced vegetable garden. All other areas are surrounded by electric fence to keep animals in and predators out. Any gated areas (besides the veggie garden) are reserved for the animals. We will be offering farm tours and sauna option upon request. Other things to note The setting is serene in nature, but it is a working farm so you will hear peacocks call, roosters crow, and the cows moo. It’s all part of what makes this place so unique. We will always be respectful of noises and space but animals may need tending at any time. If animals need tending at night we will always wear a headlamp around the farm and will respect the tiny house spaces. Our little tractor may make an occasional pass by during daylight hours. The scenic tiny house windows will allow you to watch us do chores and interact with our sheep/livestock guardian dogs and cows in the pastures. Phone reception on the farm is good. I’ve never had a problem with any carrier so far. If needing to use my laptop I have been able to use my hot spot very easily and never needed wifi. I do not have WIFI anywhere on the farm. Northern Michigan summers have very few extremely hot days comparably. The heat of day usually turns into cool nights. The pine trees bring nice shade to the tiny house except a few hours mid day. Pulling the shades to keep the sun out and windows open for cross breeze helps keeps temps comfortable. The space is equipped with a ceiling fan, personal fan, bathroom exhaust fan and ample windows (even in the loft). I have never felt the need for AC. We are not able to accommodate any pets/animals due to the free ranging nature of our animals. Sheep and peacocks have a serious fear of new animals on a farm, unknown animals would jeopardize their well-being therefore we can not accommodate any animals as part of the tiny house farm stay.
