Hello! My name's Katie and I'm an Airbnb Super Host, a bit like Wonder Woman without the fancy dress. You'll find the apartment perfectly placed for a relaxing and fun-filled holiday. Fluffy towels, crisp white bed linen, quiet and warm, and I'll be on hand to give you lots of advice when you need it. The space Welcome to our apartment in Notting Hill (please see the map for the exact location). It's light, airy, and comfortable, a recently refurbished property over two floors (900 square feet) with all the facilities one could wish for. The apartment is on the first and second (top) floors of a purpose-built, three-story building from the 1970s. The exterior is not impressive, but the interior is quite the opposite. Please note (for those who have prams/buggies) that there is no lift; there are three small sets of 8 stairs. We are getting a lift soon! The local area: It's a very convenient three-minute walk to the bustling Portobello Road, where the famous Portobello Antiques Market takes place on Saturdays, the daily open-air market (where you can buy fresh flowers and lovely fruit and vegetables), and plenty of great restaurants and cafés. The nearest small supermarkets for essentials are a three-minute walk away. Westfield shopping mall (Europe's largest) and Shepherd's Bush Central Line station are 5 minutes away. Our closest underground station,(Ladbroke Grove), is only 4 minutes walk away, and there's a frequent bus service within a 4-minute walk also (the bus stops are directly opposite the entrance to Ladbroke Grove station) that both take you to Oxford Street and the West End, (London's theatre district). Of course, Uber can take you anywhere at the drop of a hat! A nearby bus service (Oxford Tube) will take you to the famous City of Oxford in only one hour. The apartment: The entry floor level of the apartment has two bedrooms, one with full-size single bunk beds and the other with full-size single bunk beds and a single bed. There's a separate shower room with a shower and a WC on this floor. The top floor has an open living, dining, and kitchen space, a well-equipped hi-spec kitchen with premium appliances, and a beautiful long farmhouse kitchen table. There are 2 Stokke highchairs should you need them, a state-of-the-art Samsung flat-screen TV with DVD and Netflix plus many other channels. Also, there's an extensive collection of DVDs for those “stay at home" days when you're walked off your feet) and full fibre high-speed (500Mb/s) Wi-Fi. The sofa is a sofa bed which comfortably sleeps 1. The master bedroom has a King-size bed and a single futon (bed/chair) that can also be used in the living room. All bedrooms have hair dryers. The family bathroom is adjacent to the master bedroom with a double-ended bath and shower. The apartment is incredibly child friendly, we know how difficult it is to travel with children and slip quickly into a routine when you arrive somewhere new. We have plenty of books and toys with a baby monitor available, we also have a travel cot if required which can be placed in any bedroom, and a stair gate on the top floor. If you're traveling with children you won't need to bring a thing, (other than their favourite snuggly) and we can also provide you with a reliable babysitter if required. There are plenty of children's cups, plates, bowls and also cutlery. Towels and bed linen are included, and the apartment is spotlessly cleaned before each rental. Additional linen is available by arrangement and maid service during the rental period can be provided at guests' own cost (£22 per hour). We live around the corner and are available to deal with any emergencies. We provide a file filled with useful information so you can quickly familiarise yourself with the apartment and its surroundings, we also list our preferred restaurants and services in the area. There are also plenty of travel/guidebooks. There’s a washing machine, clothes dryer, microwave, 2 fridges, toaster, Nespresso machine (takes standard size pods NOT Vertuo), an oven and induction hob food, processor, blender, and filtered drinking water. The accommodation is enormously flexible, the beds are of very high quality with mattress toppers, (guests often write appreciative notes about these), and both showers are powerful with limitless hot water. For those who crave exercise, there's a Virgin Active gym in the same street (with a swimming pool) and temporary membership can be obtained for £25 per day. There's also a local leisure center just around the corner. The apartment is a beautiful, practical, and peaceful place to escape and enjoy London's hustle and bustle; our guests have told us that they enjoyed ' the luxury of a hotel while feeling a part of local life. * Please note that our prices include all service fees, there are no extra charges from Airbnb.
