In the old center of Utrecht, right across the historical Weerdsluis, you’ll find this newly renovated house ‘De Slapende Vis’. The studios are very modern and spacious, with authentic wooden structures from the late 1800’s! Highlights: - Newly renovated - Perfect for a small family - Located in city center next to the canals - Close to bars, restaurants, supermarket Within 11 min. to Utrecht Central Station on foot, 42 min. to Amsterdam Central by train or 35 min by car (P&R RAI Amsterdam) The space De Slapende Vis has two luxurious studios which are both completely renovated at the beginning of 2022. Both studios breathe luxury and comfort. The perfect place to stay and enjoy the beautiful city of Utrecht and Amsterdam. You enter the monumental house through the front door, where you will notice the vintage chandelier in a specious and high hallway. Once you go up the stairs you can enter your room on the right or left side (depending on which room you’ve booked). Studio number 1 A spacious and modern 2-person room with authentic details, like the old beams from floor to ceiling, big windows, and the ‘oeil de boeuf’ (the round little window at the front side of the house). The room has a comfortable kingsize bed of hotel quality. There is a nice seating area where you can enjoy the stunning view of the Weerdsluis, De Vecht, and De Oudegracht. Next to the seating area, you’ll find a luxurious kitchenette with tea, coffee, and cold drinks. From the room, you can access the modern private bathroom with a big rain shower, large sink and toilet. Overall the room has a luxurious hotel feeling with the unique details of an 18th-century house. Studio number 2 A huge and modern 2/3-person room with authentic beams and a French balcony with a view of the characteristic houses of the Weerdsingel. The room has a comfortable kingsize bed of hotel quality. There is a nice seating area with a comfortable couch. The kitchenette next to the seating area provides you with coffee, tea, and cold drinks. From the room, you can access the modern private bathroom with a big rain shower, large sink, and toilet. Overall the room has a luxurious hotel feeling with the unique details of an 18th-century house. Guest access You will rent both studios (located on the same floor). Please make yourself at home and respect our belongings :) The other floors in the house are private. Other things to note - Make sure to close the front door and the door of your room properly when you leave, even if you only go out for 5 minutes. Thanks! - Although the house is located in quite a calm area of the city it is possible there is noise during the night from the bar located in the street. The house is old but sound-proofed as much as possible and we provide earplugs. - Freshly made up bed with linen & towels will be waiting for you upon arrival. We will welcome you into a clean and luxurious room! - Please don’t move or water the plants, we take good care of them already. Thanks! - Cameras are installed in the hallway to monitor real occupancy and for emergency situations only. No other security cameras or recording devices are present inside the property.
