Discounted nights avail' This barn was where the harvested corn was “crushed’ to prepare feed for the working horses, cattle and sheep on the farm. Today the original “crush” and a sheep trough stand on display outside in the courtyard. The accommodation is set out on one level. with just one slight internal step. Because of the location of this barn the area does not suffer from any light pollution and as such on clear nights you can experience some truly breath-taking dark sky stargazing. The space Entrance & Living Space The front door brings you into hallway. Immediately the house feels light and airy. To the right via a shallow step is the sitting room which has a dual aspect. Light flows into this room from the tall windows set above a window seat and from the French doors. The high vaulted ceiling with its beautiful, pale exposed beams gives an amazing sense of space and tranquillity. There is a spiral staircase that is a decorative feature only and not for guests use. This room has a Smart TV. You will find that there is ample seating on large comfortable sofas in front of a wood burning stove. The stove need not be used as the central heating system is superb throughout the house. From the hallway you access the three bedrooms which all continue the open, light and airy feel. Kitchen You will also access the large very well-equipped county kitchen from the hallway. The vaulted ceiling with exposed pale beams again creates a very open tranquil space that invites you in. You have a dual fuel farmhouse range cooker with 6 gas burners and a hot plate, two electric ovens and a grill plus a proving drawer. The farmhouse table easily seats six. Appliances here include a drinks fridge, dishwasher and a microwave oven. In the adjoining utility room, there is a full size fridge/freezer, plus a washing machine and drying rack. Master Bedroom Bedroom three has a king size bed with drawers for extra storage. Fully fitted matching dressing table with stool, wardrobe plus bed side cabinet and shelf. A dressing chair completes the furniture. This room has a contemporary en-suite shower room with a pump electric shower, WC, a shaving light with shaver point and a heated towel rail. Bedroom 2 Bedroom two has a large Nordic style white king size sleigh bed with matching bedside cabinets and wardrobe plus a dressing chair. Bedroom 3 Bedroom one has twin light oak single beds with light oak side tables. A steel clothes storage system plus a seated light oak table with stool and a dressing chair. Bathroom The matching contemporary house bathroom is at the bottom of the hallway and is completed with a shower over the bath, WC, a shaving light with shaver point and a heated towel rail. Additional shelving storage is also found here. Outside Outside in the courtyard to the front there is a farm style seated table and bench’s and a smaller separate seated patio that you access directly via the French windows here in both these area’s you can enjoy the morning sun. To the rear you find the enclosed gravelled garden overlooking wonderful, open countryside with a distant sea view. There is another farm style seated table. You can find the sun here from late afternoon. There is off-road parking for three cars to the front in the courtyard and a bike store opposite. Guest access The house and outside space, plus the parking is for your sole use. Other things to note If when trying to book it says " Host unavailable" Please just email an enquiry. We can accommodate weekend only or 3, 4 and 5night stays. Our check in day for a 3 night stay is either Monday or Friday. For a 4 night stay is check in Monday. For 7 nights check in is on Monday or Friday Please note that the house capacity is 6 people at all times.
