Our connection to Oatlands runs deep, sparked by a family link to the Callington Mill. We fell in love with Boddington's "good bones" and meticulously transformed it. We thoughtfully preserved its original character while infusing it with modern comforts, ensuring a truly unique stay. Inside, three exquisite queen bedrooms each offer their own distinct charm, complemented by two pristine bathrooms. Designed for up to three couples, each room has its own unique attributes. The entire cottage, from lounge to bedroom, is adorned with captivating artwork by Tasmanian artist, Mandy Renard, creating a cohesive and inviting ambiance. The perfect launchpad for Tasmanian adventures Initially drawn by the allure of the 80km "whisky trail," we soon realised Boddington’s true potential as your ultimate Tasmanian base. Strategically positioned almost midway between Hobart and Launceston, you're perfectly placed to explore: • Hobart: Just an hour away. • East Coast Wine Region: A scenic half-day loop drive through breath taking landscapes and renowned vineyards. • Central Highlands: Another half-day adventure into dramatic, untamed scenery. • Richmond & Coal River Wineries: An easy journey to a famous historic township and acclaimed wineries. Boddington itself holds a piece of history, situated in the original military district between the Commissariat and Commandants House, with the town's original water well nearby. We've also lovingly restored the expansive garden, creating a beautiful outdoor oasis for your enjoyment.
