2 Bed cottage, in beautiful Cumbrian village

We are delighted to welcome you to our beautiful house in the Eden Valley (Cumbria's hidden gem), close to the Lake District, Hadrian's Wall (both World Heritage Sites), historic Carlisle and the Scottish Border. We are over the road from a well-run pub which serves beer brewed in the village. Within walking distance, there are 3 other pubs and a shop. Wetheral train station means that you can arrive without a car, although we do also have off road parking and we are only 3 miles from the M6. The space The cottage was built in 1860 and has been recently renovated to ensure that your stay is comfortable and relaxing. It is set in a quiet and beautiful Cumbrian village. There is a full kitchen and dining area so that you can prepare your own food if you like, alternatively, we pride ourselves on a comprehensive list of recommendations of the local pubs and restaurants! The living room contains a wood-burning stove which you are welcome to use as well a television with Netflix and a USB-C cable so that you may plug in your own device. Upstairs, one bedroom contains a king bed with an ensuite, the second bedroom contains a double bed and there is a bathroom on the landing. The beautiful enclosed rear garden catches the afternoon and evening sun and is yours to unwind in. Guest access By road we are 3 miles from junction 43 on the M6 and 1 mile from the A69. There is off road parking in front of the property. By rail, a train will bring you to Wetheral Station which is 15 minutes walk from the house, the walk from the station offers spectacular views over the river Eden from the viaduct.
