We keep free-range pigs, cattle and chickens, and we also have a large vegetable patch and an ancient orchard. Most of the food that we supply to our guests is either grown on the farm, or sourced from neighbouring small holders. The area is rich in wildlife, and wild ducks, red kites, barn owls and bats can all be regularly seen at the farm. We even have a resident family of coutts on our pond. The Chilterns and the well-known Ridgeway path are perfect for walkers and cyclists. And for those that fancy a cultural day out, Oxford is within easy striking distance, along with many country houses, National Trust properties and other attractions, including Blenheim Palace, Grey’s Court, Claydon House, West Wycombe Estate and the Hell Fire Caves, Stonor Park, Waddesdon Manor, Bletchley Park, Clivedon and Hughendon Manor. Very close to the farm are the lovely market towns of Princes Risborough, Thame and Wendover, and we are not far from Marlow, Henley and Wallingford, where you can enjoy a boat trip on the Thames or a walk along the river. We are lucky to be close to some excellent pubs, farm shops, restaurants and cafés and would be happy to recommend ones to you. Families with children are well catered for with outdoor pursuits, the Roald Dahl museum, children’s farms, steam railways, even Lego Land and Harry Potter world offer great days out from our farm. Guest access You get to enjoy the shepherds hut and the wonderful garden. In the evening enjoying a glass of wine and steak cooked on the firepit or during the day a game of boules or croquet on the lawn. A perfect space to relax and unwind and get back to nature. Other things to note Public transport. Being a farm we are rural but Princes Risborough station is a 5 minute taxi ride (we recommend you book Village cars in advance, there isn’t Uber here!) and Monks Risborough Station is a 20 minute walk, both have direct trains into London in well under an hour! Please do not walk to / from Princes Risborough station as there are no footpaths on a busy section of road. There is a great farm shop that has a cafe about a 20 minute walk down country lanes from us too. We can give you details of a bike hire company before your arrival if you want two wheels to explore on. They can offer a meet at Princes Risborough Station subject to availability too.
