Lakeview Lodge underwent a full renovation in 2022, blending thoughtful modern updates while preserving its unique legacy to create a warm, comfortable, and memorable stay. Property Highlights: - Enjoy stunning views of the lake from both inside and outside the home. A spacious covered porch with a large picnic table, propane grill, porch swing, and rocking chairs allows you to relax outdoors, rain or shine. - Take advantage of your own private dock; perfect for fishing, swimming, or tying up your boat/kayaks. You can also choose to use the boat landing, located directly across the street. We provide kayaks and life jackets. - Stargaze in your Adirondack chairs while roasting s'mores in the fire pit (we provide the firewood). - We are a day trip to some of Maine's most beloved destinations, including Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Sleeping Arrangements: - Bedroom #1 (Master): Features one queen bed and two twin beds. This room offers a beautiful lake view from the window, along with a cozy reading nook and chair. Bedroom #2: Includes one queen bed and one twin bed. There is also a queen-size futon downstairs. - For added privacy, blinds are curtains are provided; a curtain divides the two bedrooms. - Each bedroom is equipped with its own AC unit for personalized comfort. Additional Features: - Brand new stove and fridge; you are fully equipped and ready for cooking. - Stackable washer/dryer located in the bathroom downstairs. - Cozy up to the electric Fireplace for those chilly nights - Smart TV downstairs - High-speed internet included - Be at ease with smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, and carbon monoxide detectors. - Local ATV and snowmobile trails are nearby. - There is ample parking on site for two vehicles in addition to your boats, ATVs, jet-skis, etc. - This house has an on-demand Generac generator in the event of a storm or power outage. Nothing you need to do, it will start right up automatically. - There is an original outhouse, cleaned up and equipped with solar lights if you want to go back in time to use the restroom (but don't worry, there's a very nice bathroom inside). Please note this home is listed for up to six people maximum, including children. For those that like to fish, Boyd Lake can have the following fish: Smallmouth Bass, White Perch, Yellow Perch, Chain Pickerel Hornpout (bullhead), White Sucker, Minnows, Common Shiner, Fallfish (Chub) Pumpkinseed Sunfish, and Yellowbelly Sunfish. Other things to note This home is special to my husband and I. We did an extensive remodel while also trying to preserve many original touches, as it was one of the first homes on Boyd Lake. I got the idea for a "Lodge" due to the little moose that were painted on the walls of the covered porch, as well as in the upstairs bedrooms (they are still there, I didn't want to paint over them). My family and I have stayed many nights here at the Lodge, as I would never rent out a home I wouldn't also love to stay at myself. The porch is my favorite feature of this house, as you can enjoy the beautiful views, rain or shine. My father hung the porch swing that hangs on the porch, and my mom helped me with the kitchen. There may be some drawers that have clothes in them, most are empty for your use. We keep a few of our belongings here for when we use the house too.
