Charming 2 bedroom Victorian cottage in Shanklin

A real home away from home in Shanklin, Isle of Wight. A charming, cosy cottage ideal for family and friends to relax and explore the island. Situated on a quiet, residential road, less than 5 mins walk to the cliff-path with stunning views across Shanklin and Sandown Bay. The beach and town centre are only 10 mins walk away, and 15-20 mins walk to Shanklin Old Village. The space We have lovingly updating & restored the entire house which can easily accommodate 4 people but can also extend to 6 guests. There is off-street parking for one car at the front of the house but further on-street parking is also available. The cottage offers 2 good sized bedrooms, one with a king size bed & the other a double bed. Downstairs is a dining room with daybed which can sleep up to 2 additional guests. The separate sitting room has comfortable seating, a TV & DVD player. It leads into a fully fitted kitchen with utility area & downstairs toilet. The quiet, enclosed south facing garden has an outside table & chairs, patio & lawn. Upstairs the family bathroom leads off from bedroom 2 with a corner bath & over bath shower. A small fold up bed is also available but is really only suitable for a child and we request that you bring your own sleeping bag/bedding should you wish to make use of this bed or the day bed. Guest access You will have full use of the house. We have one locked cupboard upstairs for our own use, and a small locked room for storage. Other things to note Please note, a train line runs at the end of the garden. However the garden is fully secure with fencing and trees running across the back. Trains are quiet, only 2 carriages long and run once an hour but not overnight. There is also a very small, covered pond at the bottom of the garden. Absolutely no smoking/vaping is allowed in the house. Smokers are asked to please clear any cigarette butts from outside prior to departure. Finally, we are lucky to have great neighbours and would ask anybody staying to please respect the residential neighbourhood. If you are looking for a place to party - please look elsewhere.
