Shenandoah Riverfront - Happy Peach Cottage

Come relax at The Happy Peach! Nestled at the base of the Massanutten Mountains on the North Fork of the Shenandoah River (100 feet of frontage), this cozy house is the perfect base for adventures or a restful getaway. Fishing, hiking, rafting, antique shopping, wine tasting, caverns & historic sites are some options. Our 2-bedroom house is an ideal getaway for a small group or family and only a 90-minute drive from DC. And, there's high-speed fiber optic internet for to stay connected. The space The house is on a wooded lot near the end of a quiet road. It has a large, screened porch which faces the river and is a wonderful spot for dining, board games or simply relaxing and listening to the sounds of nature. The porch has lighting as well as ceiling fans to keep things cool. There is additional outdoor seating on the deck, at the fire pit and as well as overlooking the river. Wildlife abound including deer, a variety of birds, river otter, turkey and bear. Access to the river is just out the back door and down the steps. If you're staying inside, we have high-speed fiber optic internet and a variety of other options for in-house entertainment: books, puzzles, games, movies (DVD) and music. The kitchen is fully equipped with cookware, dishes and utensils as well as many basic spices and condiments. All bedroom linens and bathroom towels are provided for each guest. Air conditioning is available and each room in the house has a ceiling fan for additional / alternate cooling. And, the living room has a cozy gas fireplace for those chilly nights.
