Villa Bella Vista Dating back to 1909, Villa Bella Vista is a wonderfully appointed Tuscan villa situated in a quiet area of Chester. This beautiful home enjoys a tranquil privileged location overlooking the CT River within a five-minute walk to Chester Village center. The villa will accommodate comfortably a maximum of 6 guests. If you enjoy the combination of an old European house, modern amenities, and a beautiful setting, Villa Bella Vista is the perfect rental holiday home. The villa includes a fully equipped kitchen, a spacious living room with access to a large stone terrace, a dining room, a half bath, and a laundry area. Upstairs ( One floor to get to the bedrooms and bathrooms; the stairs are not steep and roomy with a rope handrail ) Two bright and large double bedrooms with queen-size beds. They have balconies overlooking secluded grounds. Two other smaller bedrooms, one with a queen-size bed, the other with a full-size bed. Two bathrooms, one with an old fashion bathtub/hand shower and the other one with a walk-in shower. 1/2 bath with toilet and sink downstairs. AC portable units and the thick stone walls keep the house cool all summer long. Very efficient central heating for the winter months. Working fireplace in the living room. Beautiful spacious terrace overlooking the grounds. Grill. Working remotely? the Villa is available for monthly rental. The Villa is NOT available as a venue for party/event of any sorts, per town regulation. For your safety and comfort, we are following the new strict protocol for cleaning and disinfecting before you check-in. Our cleaning fee is reflecting the actual demand for the enhanced cleaning protocol. The entire house is yours. There is a garage area in a separate building that is closed and not accessible to our guests. We have a manager who lives across the villa; she is available to assist you with any help, concierge services, recommendations you might need during your stay at the Villa. She makes sure that the house is ready and welcomes you upon your arrival. An email will be sent to you upon booking with more info on the Villa with a list of our concierge services. The Villa sits on beautiful peaceful grounds at the end of a driveway. It is a very tranquil neighborhood, surrounded by beautiful lands and trees; all this nature 5 minutes walking distance from the charming village of Chester. The village of Chester is full of life and activities. Many restaurants, a micro brewery and unique shops. From May to October a wonderful Farmers Market sits in the center of town on Sundays. In the other direction you can walk to the Connecticut River shores. All the conveniences are not more than 10 minutes driving distance. So many activities are available in the area: New Haven-Yale; Mystic Seaport; New London-USS Nautilus Submarine base; Hartford-Mark Twain’s House; Rocky Hill-Dinosaur Sate Park; Rhode Island-Watch Hill sandy beaches and Newport; Foxwood resort casino...to name few. Closer to Chester you have the charming Essex Steam train with boat cruise; East Haddam-Goodspeed Opera House; Chester/Hadlyme-Warner Ferry and GIllette Castle. Or just relax on the terrace with a good book and a drink before walking to town for dinner in one of our many local restaurants. Easy to get by car, rail or air, Chester is just over 2 hours from both New York and Boston. Closer airport is: BDL. Bradley International / Hartford , only 40 minutes away.
