Loft in Minneapolis
Description
El Atico is a lovely, light-filled loft - the perfect spot for a peaceful retreat, focused work time, or just relaxing at the end of a day out and about. It features cozy lounging and sleeping spaces, a bright bathroom with skylight, large work area with monitor, and a kitchenette stocked with locally roasted coffee, tea, and snacks. Easy, free parking right out front on a tree-lined residential street; close to downtown, U of M, Augsburg University, parks, restaurants, coffee, and more. The space This is a private, open floor-plan suite, occupying the full top floor / attic level of our three-story, multi-family home built before 1900. Our family of three (Rodrigo, Georgia, and our young son) live on the first floor, and the second floor is occupied by long-term tenants. The unit has a queen bed and a couch that folds out into a full bed to accommodate an additional guest. The kitchenette is equipped with a mini fridge, microwave, tea kettle, toaster, SCA-certified Bonavita coffee maker, mini waffle maker, and small sink. We provide coffee, tea, and a few snacks and treats. There is no TV in El Atico, but fast fiber optic internet enables easy streaming on your own devices, and we offer a variety of books and games if you desire some screen-free entertainment. Our guests are also welcome to spend time in our backyard or on the porch - relaxing in the summer shade or sitting by a fire. (Do note that all outdoor spaces are shared.) A few things we think you should know before you book: - While the Airbnb space is newly finished, it is still the attic of a more-than-125-year-old home! There are slanted ceilings, a few tight corners, and steeper stairs than the average modern house. We're happy to send additional photos to help determine if this will work for you. - Minneapolis is a relatively spread out city, with only a few areas that have a bustling, urban feel - and this is not one of them :) Seward is a walkable, quiet, residential neighborhood and is well connected to the rest of the city via car or bike. But, do know you won't be at the center of the action. However, you will find good coffee, a few dining options, our local food co-op, the Mississippi river and ample green space, and a variety of other fun and quirky spots for shopping and culture all within a 5 to 15 minute walk (see our guidebook for more). Guest access You will access our home through a main entrance and stairway that are shared by all three units. The third-floor Airbnb space has a locked door and is only accessible by our guests. As noted, guests are also welcome to spend time in our shared backyard. Other things to note - When making your booking please be sure to indicate the correct number of guests that will be staying, as well as whether or not you'll have a pet joining you; this will ensure your stay is priced correctly. - Before booking a stay with your pet, please scroll all the way to the bottom of our listing to review our "pet rules" and make sure they will work for you. - If your stay will be a month or longer, we'll ask for a bit more to ensure everything is spic and span for our next guests. The cleaning fee for an extended stay will be $155. - We communicate with our guests only via Airbnb message, and expect to be able to be in touch before and during your stay - as we will share important check-in info and other useful information such as temporary parking restrictions. We recommend setting up Airbnb notifications on your phone to ensure smooth communication. Registration Details Exempt
