The cabin "Ustebø" is located on the high mountain 1040 masl with a fantastic view directly towards Hallingskarvet and Hardangervidda National Park in the southwest. "Ustebø" is a detached cabin without other cabins in the immediate vicinity. Road to the cabin - 4 km from Ustaoset. Remember: own cleaning/dishwashing The space The cabin is located in scenic surroundings with a very nice view of Hallingskarvet. Access from Verpestølvegen (toll road NOK 50 per passage) exit from highway 7 before Ustaoset. Use google maps and enter the address (Verpestølvegen 140) to get the exact location. There is a short distance to Ustaoset 4km and Geilo about 12 km to the east with a very large service offer for leisure activities throughout the year. Short distance to an eldorado with hiking opportunities with a large cross-country network and hiking trails in summer. rich wildlife with grouse, hare, black grouse (!), eagle, and much more! I Room solution; Vestibule/hallway with pleasant daylight throughout the cabin (designed by Trybo architect). Open living room/kitchen with 2 sofas, dining room and kitchen that is fully equipped. Two bedrooms for rent both with double beds but also a bunk bed for children. Bedroom 1: Double bed 180 cm Bedroom 2: Bunk bed with double bed (140 cm) lower bunk and upper bunk. There is a fireplace in the living room and in addition panel heaters that provide good heat in all rooms. Bathroom: Shower and separate toilet. Duvets and pillows in all beds. Bed linen and towels must be brought. Guest access We also use the cabin ourselves all year round, but will rent out weekends and holiday weeks when we are not using it. One bedroom is therefore closed off for storage. Parking in private parking just below the cabin via private seat/access road of about 200 m from the road but with some wheel track. You can also park in the parking lot down by Verpestølveien In winter, the road is plowed all the way up to the cabin by appointment. Electric charging by agreement with the host. Other things to note Other things worth noting NB: Remember 1. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer cleaning of the cabin, and the tenant must clean and wash up in the kitchen. Vacuum cleaner and detergents available. The concept is based on trust. 2. Towels/bed linen must be brought (can be offered if available, but only by appointment and payment. I.e. subject to availability and by agreement with the host 3. Water from the well is turned on at arrival with own switch (marked X) in the bathroom. Turn off on departure (red button). 4. Note: water is straight from the well and can be drunk but has a mineral taste. We recommend to bring some drinking water. 5. Summer season: The sheep gate (two planks) in front of the main door is removed upon arrival and replaced upon departure Note: There can sometimes be a lot of wind! So bring plenty of clothes and food for the trip!
