Enjoy all this while staying within walking distance of Muizenberg beachfront for surf and play. The space Our unique and newly renovated mountainside home feels like it could be an hour from civilization but is only a few blocks away from the heart of the vibrant surfers' and artists' community of Muizenberg. Climbing up a set of stairs with beautiful mosaics, you’ll be rewarded with unparalleled views of the full bay, including sunrise over the water for the early birds and views all the way to Simon’s Town and the peninsula on a clear day. The wooden house is perched above a lush indigenous garden with plenty of space to relax. On the main floor, you'll find an open plan living/dining area, with an adjoining sunroom, currently set up as a playroom. You’ll also find a fully equipped and newly renovated kitchen with high end fittings (including Smeg gas stove). You get great views from every angle of the house, especially from the wraparound patio. In addition to a nice round table in the dining area, you can choose to dine at the large teak table on the covered patio. The first bedroom with brand new en-suite bathroom is on the main floor. Upstairs you'll find the larger king size master bedroom (with its own balcony) and a bedroom with two single beds (ideal for kids). There is also a family bathroom with an ocean-view bathtub. On the upper level of the indigenous garden, tucked in a private corner, you’ll find our newly renovated saltwater pool, perfect for cooling off on a hot day. On the lower level you're find a braai area and pizza oven. There’s also a treehouse and trampoline for kids to enjoy and plenty of space to play/chill. We hope you’ll feel right at home in our unique property. Guest access The guests will have full access to the main house and garden. The house is self-contained and private. There is a separate apartment on the ground floor below the main house at the back of garden that is available as a separate rental. Both units can be booked together for larger families - please get in touch if interested. When guests are booked into the studio, you will share the front gate but otherwise will have complete privacy as the guests have their own entrance and patio areas on a separate level to the main house. Other things to note Please note that our house is not directly accessible from the road. Guests need to be comfortable and fit enough to climb up 90 stairs to get to the front gate. The stairs are broad and easy though, with a railing the whole way up. We love them ourselves as they make the house so special and secluded (feels like you’re nearly in the mountains!) and allow for the epic uninterrupted views. If you would feel otherwise, this may not be the place for you.
