Your private ice fishing basecamp with drive onto the lake access. 10 minutes from Grand Beach and South Beach CASINO, lots of parking, cosy inside, STSRLINK, ice machine and the fish are already biting! The space Two storey with 1 bedroom and full bathroom on main floor and 2 bedrooms, 1/2 bathroom and open loft space for additional sleeping on second floor. Guests use spiral staircase to access upper level and this may not be suitable for children or others with mobility issues. Kitchen with 4 stainless steel appliances has eat at breakfast bar and offers the chef ample windows and views! Living room is cosy with 3 seat sectional and dining table seats 6 or more. Upstairs loft offers additional tv, games and seating. Screened veranda overlooks the trees and lake as well as access from dining area and main floor bedroom. Interesting architectural details throughout the cabin and weathered cedar siding on exterior. 2022 high water levels have changed the beach as we have known it. Several logs and debris are now on the shoreline high water on the beach with potentially hidden hazards under the water. Due to rain the exterior upgrades have been delayed and we are sorry the exterior isn’t prettier. Make sure you have your camera ready for sunset and get ready to take the very best sunset pictures ever! 2 kayaks with life jackets are ready for your paddle adventures and fishing. Evenings in the screened verandah are the best with breathtaking sunsets and patio lights! In winter ice fishing village at Balsam Harbour is right out the back yard with direct access! Very close to Grand Beach, Patricia Beach and South Beach Casino. Fish, swim and play all day then enjoy evenings relaxing or with a bonfire! Ask about bachelorette or special occasions single night options. Guest access Whole house Other things to note Access to the lake gets cleared of rocks but waves continuously wash up new rocks. Water shoes are necessary for navigating the rocks and protecting feet from zebra muscles. Kayaks can’t be stored on the shore and must be brought up the hill path to higher ground incase of strong waves. Walking on the boulders and rocks to explore is fun but be careful of where you step. Driveway is rocky with exposed boulders so you must drive slow (nature’s way of reminding us to slow down). We use city or artisan well water for drinking. Containers are provided and it’s kind of cool getting your well water re-fill 3 min drive. Firewood not included, option to purchase. Guests must take garbage. Washer and dryer not for guest use without permission. Just bring your food and smile for your epic photos. We are a really unique property with a rich history including several remnants from decades old bank stabilization, vintage cars and a rusty dock which is great for the adventurous people looking for wildly unique history and photo backdrops. REMINDER: do not have fires on the beach, it’s dangerous in these dry times and leave a mess for the next guests. Smoking fine $200 if ANY evidence of smoking or vaping is found inside.
