When you visit The New River Gorgeous Farmhouse, you’ll find the "Coolest Small Town" of Fayetteville, WV with a lot going on. It’s a great place to visit! Friendly folks, small town atmosphere, and world class thrills, right next door to the New River Gorge National Park. Bring a taste for adventure and a desire to relax! Parking is available for free right at the front of the property. Please do not park across the street, as it is a private business. **Add our listing to your wishlist by clicking the HEART in the upper-right hand corner ! The property borders the local high school. It sits to the rear of the back yard. There may be some noise during school hours. During football season, feel free to check out and support our Midland Trail Patriots Football Team under the Friday Night Lights! There are two small businesses across the street. There may be some noise during business hours, although we feel the house has plenty of distance for it to not be an issue. We provide enough firewood for one nights stay. Should you need to replenish the supply, the nearby Piggly Wiggly and/or Lowe’s should offer. We chop down our own wood, and unfortunately cannot provide enough for multiple nights. Dogs under 25lb are allowed at the property. Any dogs over 25lb may be allowed at the discretion of the hosts, possibly for an additional fee. There is a small pond located at the end of the front property line. We STRONGLY advise no swimming, and PLEASE be mindful of any children wandering too close to it. Please note that due to the property being built in 1934, certain aspects from an architectural standpoint may be outdated. Two of the upstairs bedrooms do not offer traditional doors. We have inserted 2 heavy, blackout, soundproof curtains as replacements. The kitchen sink does not offer a garbage disposal option, please be mindful and do not discard anything other than liquids down the drain. We supply each party with 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom (4 total rolls in the house). Please provide your own toilet paper once those are used. We supply each party with 2 rolls of paper towels for the kitchen. Please provide your own paper towel rolls if more is needed. We supply each party with 1 laundry detergent pod to use for their convenience. Please provide your own laundry detergent and softener if more is needed. We provide 3 trash bags per party to be used for the kitchen trash bin. Please provide your own trash bags should you need more than the 3 provided.
