Description
Staying at Casa Paraíso with its privileged location is a unique experience. We have more than a kilometer of trails with gardens full of trees and exotic flowers. One of the headwaters of the Choroní River with its crystal clear waters and tasty wells is steps from the house along our stone walkways. We love to cook, so we have two kitchens: a traditional one and a rustic one in the open air. The suites are spacious with a private bathroom and equipped with premium Egyptian cotton linens. The space Between mountains and in the middle of the majestic cloud forest of Henri Pittier Park there is a piece of heaven that we want to share with you. For us, this land was love at first sight and from that passion Casa Paraiso was born. The house was conceived respecting the magical site where it rests and the historical legacy of these lands. Before it was ours, with a history dating back to the late 18th century, the best cocoa in the world was grown here, and much later, coffee. The cocoa drying patio and some cocoa bushes along the trails are reminiscent of our history. The architecture we wanted, typical of the colonial haciendas of the 18th century, made us travel throughout Venezuela in search of ideas and materials. The bitter cane roof was meticulously assembled by experienced artisans. It was a painstaking job. We bought old handmade tiles, many of them over two hundred years old, from dilapidated houses and structures across the country. We also have several centuries-old doors, one of which was the inspiration for the rest of the doors and windows that now exist. Casa Paraíso is located within the national park, so we built the house without cutting down a single tree and without moving the stones that were there. Guest access Access to the entire property including Casa Paraíso, gardens, trails and several wells in the river. The only restricted area is the residence of the "El Castillito" staff Other things to note There is no phone coverage. We have WiFi available.
