Country Cottage in the Garden of England

Country cottage in the beautiful heart of Kent. Newly renovated with 2 large bedrooms upstairs plus a desk for a work stint in the countryside. Spacious sitting room, dining room & brand-new galley kitchen with full oven & dishwasher are downstairs. Bathroom & facilities are also downstairs. Our place is a short drive to the train station for the fast train to London (35 mins to London Bridge) & is a 10 minute drive to Tonbridge, 15 minutes to Tunbridge Wells & 15/20 minutes to Sevenoaks. The space Lovely, fully renovated Grade II listed country cottage in the gorgeous village of Plaxtol perfect for a tree change or weekend away. Our cottage is suitable for 2 couples or family with 2 - 3 children (we have a trundle bed). We do not have a cot or crib and the stairs to the bedrooms are steep so it may not be suitable for really young children or those with mobility issues. There are 2 bedrooms upstairs, each with a landing area which can be used as a home office or extra sleeping space. Super fast wifi provided by Gigaclear and there is a dedicated work desk and office chair if you have to work from home during your getaway! Downstairs, the new kitchen has an induction hob and oven, dishwasher and small fridge freezer as well as a washer / dryer. The dining area has a table and cute kitchen hutch. The living room has a new "smart" TV and 3 seater sofa and single arm chair. The bathroom is downstairs and has a shower area and separate toilet. Hairdryer and soap, shampoo and conditioner are provided along with all linens, blankets and pillows. An iron and ironing board can be provided on request. Outside there is a great patio space with outdoor table and chairs. We have our own chickens and can provide you with eggs on arrival. We also provide a small bottle of milk, ground coffee, a French Press, a selection of teas and sugar. The Cottage has radiators in all the rooms and is controlled by a thermostat in the dining area. Each radiator also has its own thermostat setting so you can change these settings to suit your needs. We do not have any air conditioning but can provide fans in Summer if necessary. Please just ask us! No smoking at all on the premises and no parties. The cottage is part of a Grade II listed property in the countryside so it is quite old and some of the door ways are lower than normal! We are excited to share her with you and hope you love the space as much as we do. Guest access You will have access to the whole cottage. There is also secure parking for one car on site as well as potential parking space for an additional car a little further away on the property. If you do need to park a second vehicle, please let me know. The cottage is attached to our house so we just ask that you be respectful of the space. We are in a rural country setting. If you bring your fur babies please know that we have our own cat and dog who are allowed outside. The patio area can be secured but we ask that other than this space to please keep your dog on a leash. I will need to access the courtyard to take out the food bin on bin days. Other things to note Please note that the upstairs bedrooms are accessed up slightly steep stairs. We do not have any baby gates installed but can install a gate with enough notice. The stairs may pose a problem for very elderly people or small children. There is no second bathroom or toilet upstairs. We are open to allowing pets for responsible owners and ask that you pick up any doggie doo doos and dispose of this accordingly. Absolutely no smoking.
