Shepherd’s Hut, Blissford, New Forest, Hampshire

Medlars Shepherd’s Hut is situated on the edge of our paddock in the private surroundings of our home within the New Forest National Park. Warm and cosy, with its wood burning stove, it has an en-suite shower room, mini kitchen and a KING size double bed. Make the most of all the walks, cycle paths and local pubs and eateries. Relax and unwind in the peace and quiet, and enjoy the view across the valley. The space The Hut is in its own space away from the house, while still being close enough should you need any assistance. There is a table and chairs, and a BBQ where you can sit outside and enjoy the view across the valley, watching the sun set. It is equipped to a very high standard, with KING size bed and space to walk around and access both sides. There is a table that can be opened up which you can both sit at comfortably to eat your meals. The mini kitchen is well equipped for simple cooking including an induction hob, microwave, toaster and mini fridge. The shower room has an electric radiator to keep the room cosy and help air your towels, and also includes soap shampoo and conditioner and all bed linen and towels are provided. Books, cards and games are available for your use, as is a mini speaker and wifi. If you get at all chilly, there is an extremely efficient woodburner which you can light. In fact, after a short while you may well find yourselves opening the door or window to cool down!! A welcome pack of simple breakfast ingredients, including home made jam and marmalade will be waiting for you. We hope you enjoy your stay! Guest access The Hut is for your exclusive use. It is close to my greenhouse and veg patch. Depending on the time of year, there may well be salad or vegs spare for you to pick. Just come and ask! Access to The Hut is across a grassy area, so please bring suitable footwear! Other things to note Feel free to bring your own bikes, although their security is entirely your responsibilty. We have two dogs: an ancient blind labrador who may wander around the garden but keeps very much to himself, and a jack russell who loves meeting new people and will be happy to enjoy any attention you may wish to give her. We would prefer her not to go into the hut. (No treats please!)
