Spacious house with hot tub on working farm

A very spacious property with a secure garden on the edge of riverside town St. Ives. We have furnished the property to a high standard to ensure you have a comfortable and relaxing stay. It is close to Huntingdon, Cambridge and Ely, and London is only just over an hour journey from Huntingdon train station. Experiences with our award winning herd of pedigree cattle can also be available, please enquire in advance to ensure availability. The space One of the main features of this property is its large open plan living space. It has a well equipped kitchen for those who like to self cater, but equally there are many local takeaways and places to eat out. We have a Samsung smart tv which has free channels and access to streaming channels. There is a downstairs toilet and a shower for washing off before and after using the hot tub. Upstairs we have two bedrooms, one with a king sized bed and an ensuite shower room. The other bedroom has a super king sized bed which can be set up as two single beds if required. If you would like the single beds set up for you please request this option when you book. In between the bedrooms there is a separate bathroom with a bath and a shower. At the top of the stairs you will find a large landing area with a multigames table which includes foosball, table tennis and pool. There are two extra beds that can be set up on this landing area, but this does incur an extra fee. Outside there is an enclosed garden with a dining table and chairs on the patio area. The hot tub is located further down the garden accessed by the garden path and seats four people. We have worked hard to provide for a local population of House Martins who have thrived and continue to increase in numbers. We are thrilled that they come back to Stockmans Cottage every year to build and repair their nests, although this does mean that they can leave some mess in the garden. We do ensure that it is clean before guests arrive and we provide a hosepipe and brush if you would like to wash away any droppings during your stay. We hope you enjoy watching the birds as much as we do, especially when they are tending to their young, and watching the fledglings leave their nests for the first time is quite a privilege. The property is located adjacent to the farmyard itself, so you will encounter all the sights, smells and sounds of farm living. There is an enclosed area for you to park your car to ensure our farm animals do not come visiting you! Although there is no access to the farm itself for visitors there are plenty of lovely walks nearby that are only a short drive away. Guest access The property is a single dwelling, but there is an attached garage/storage space that is not for visitor use and this is accessed from the farmyard side of the building. Other things to note The hot tub needs to be tested everyday, so we do ask guests to message and let us know the most suitable times to do this. The hot tub also has a lid lifter to make it easier to get into, and it keeps the lid off the floor. If you need a demonstration on how to use this please just ask.
