*Sweet Sunshine Suite*- Artistic, cozy, & colorful

*Sweet Sunshine Suite* was created with the intention of making every square inch colorful, artistic, and whimsical. It was a true labor of love. The building process was filled with creative collaboration, spontaneous tweaks, and lots of laughter and joy. I love to create space, and after closing my business, Caravan- The Tiny House Hotel on Alberta St, I decided to turn my home property into an artistic and colorful oasis for guests to enjoy. Welcome to Cully Corner! The space *Sweet Sunshine Suite* is bursting with color everywhere you look. It was formally a stinky old garage and was built specifically to house short-term visitors to Portland. It has an open floor plan where the kitchen space and the living room are separated by a custom-built live edge bar. The bed is a custom-built loft, accessed by a small staircase and framed in with an ancient Nepali antique door and columns that form an archway as the entrance to the bed. It's sweet and romantic and through the windows of the antique door you can see the stars and the tree tops of the huge Doug Fir trees that frame in my property. The bathroom holds one of the top features of the space- a gorgeous tile mandala shower, made with "seconds", disregarded tile from Pratt & Larson tile This tile shower was designed on my living room floor(much to my dogs chagrin!) and took over my mind, heart and living room for several months this winter! It was an expression of my own transformation into joy and was a healing and extremely fun project. **In 2025, the tile on the shower floor has been replaced with a concrete floor. It's not quite as pretty, but sometimes function wins over form! Guest access *Sweet Sunshine Suite* is located on a dirt road in the Cully neighborhood in NE Portland, with a designated parking space just outside the fully fenced, private yard. The space is completely private and separate from the main house. The door to Pacifica is accessed with a key pad, so you'll never need to find your keys. Cully is a slower-paced, bike-friendly neighborhood with big trees, parks, and several funky commercial streets with cafes, shops, yummy restaurants, and thrift stores. There is a locally-owned coffeeshop two blocks from your front door, 42nd Street and Fremont are both a stone's throw away, and the Alberta Arts District is just a quick 5-minute drive. Other things to note **Please note that approximately 15% of the advertised nightly rate is retained by Airbnb as its platform service fee.
