The perfect countryside escape Surrounded by open fields, this newly refurbished retreat blends modern comfort with country charm. Perfect for couples or a relaxing getaway for families & friends. Ideal for exploring while enjoying total peace & tranquility. The space This boutique hotel style cottage offers two bright double bedrooms with sunrise field views, plus a twin room on the lower ground floor. A fully equipped kitchen, with complimentary tea, coffee and kitchen basics, has pretty views across the rolling hills. Sit back and relax in the cosy lounge with an open fireplace with stylish interiors. We’ve left you some books and magazines to curl up for the afternoon and our favourite board games for some family bonding. We also have a smart tv with Netflix and top of the range Bluetooth speaker for you to enjoy. The family bathroom features a double sink, small bath, and walk-in shower. There is also a small ensuite WC in one of the double bedrooms. Spotlessly clean, with luxury complimentary toiletries from a local supplier - Cotswold Caress aromatherapy. A larger barn next door, which can be rented together, is the only other property in the immediate area, it feels very peaceful, private but in easy reach of local amenities. We are in a dark sky area - dont forget to look outside at night at the sky - it’s a star gazers dream. The Sundeck & Garden The sundeck has garden furniture for 6 guests and a Weber BBQ. It’s in an elevated position and has views across the fields. The sundeck is surrounded by lawns, perfect for children to play in the freshest of country air. Perfect for wildlife spotting. The surrounding fields and gardens are home to hares, rabbits, kites, pheasants and if you are really lucky you can see the deer. Sitting on the sundeck listening to the birdsong is always a highlight. Walking routes direct from the doorstep - put your boots, open the door and you are off, we have left you several walking routes to enjoy. Local Pub & Cafe We are really lucky to have a fabulous country pub, The Norman Knight, Whichford, 5 mins drive or a lovely 30 min walk either through Whichford Woods or along the country lane. The food is some of the best in the Cotswolds - and it’s in the heart of our picturesque local village. Another ‘must do’ is walk down the valley to the Cotswold Distillery with its very family friendly cafe. 40 mins walking downhill across the fields, a coffee and delicious cake, or a healthy lunch is the perfect spot for a rest, before the slightly steep walk back to Lavender Cottage. Our Team We are privately owned and managed. Lavender Cottage and the next-door Farmhouse Barn are our only holiday homes so they have our undivided attention. There is a sheltered lower ground patio. Other things to note For larger groups and celebrations, there is a large 5 bed barn next door to the cottage.
