Retro styled, private room on a cozy organic farm

Welcome to the 'room at the Inn'. The room has been part of a family BnB over 100 years! Looking over a charming farmyard, experience Swedish nature and Scottish hospitality with our attempt to bring the trad 'room at the Inn' concept to Sweden. The room is next door to a shared kitchen and very near our shower and compost WC. We have a large living room one can enjoy breakfast, our piano, reading a book & sometimes folk music There is a 160cm double bed, el & wifi. Near lakes, woods and coast The space An organic, simple breakfast buffet is included, featuring bread, muesli, yoghurt, spreads and coffee/teas. There is wifi available in the common space nearby. We produce more solar energy than our guests use, the water you drink comes from a private well and any conserves served are from our orchard.. We are situated on a cozy family farm where you will no doubt see and hear our sheep, chickens and cat. We can arrange for you to help feed our friendly animals and get to know more about them and their special role for biodiversity as heritage breeds. We live in a peaceful valley with a quiet road suitable for cycling and walking. There are many local walking and cycling trails, both through the forests and beside the rolling fields. Additionally we are only a short distance to several lakes. We live a 10 minute cycle from a traditional woodfired sauna by a lake which can be privately hired, the views and peace there are incredible! We are a 10 minute cycle to the lake Stora Hällungen (Västra Götalands largest lake) where you can find several child-friendly, sand beaches, grill places, diving boards and jetties. Alternatively you can cycle a little longer and, find many smaller forest lakes. Here you can experience a private swim, surrounded by nothing but forest and the fresh, peaceful atmosphere. To further explore the woods, we have Svartedalen´s nature reserve and the famous Bohusleden trail a 10 minute drive away which features a whole host of walking trails and truly magnificent nature. For a change of scenery, we have the famous west coast sea, beaches and islands a mere 15 minute drive away. From here you can visit some of the idyllic fishing island such as Tjörn, Orust, Klädesholmen and Käringön. There are many great sea food restaurants along the coast and on the islands and opportunities to do activities such as sea kayaking. We are a ten minute drive to Stenungsund where there is a direct train to Gothenburg (45 minutes away) and Uddevalla (30 minutes away). Stenungsund is by the sea and is the gateway to the west coast islands. It has a great playpark, a wide variety of shops and restaurants and a specialist fish boutique selling freshly caught Swedish fish and seafood. Our local village Ucklum has a pizzeria within cycling and walking distance which you can enjoy at a nearby lake beach.
