Description
Enjoy bicycling, hiking, and skiing in the Indian Peaks Wilderness Area and Rocky Mountain National Park. Great space for those in need of a base camp in the Rocky Mountains. We very much respect, welcome and enjoy all religions, nationalities and diversity in general. Great internet service. Please READ FULL description prior to booking. The space We have a 270 sq ft studio available. The space is a walkout ground floor studio attached to the main house. We designed it to be quiet, super clean and with a lot of light. It has a sleeping loft with a queen size latex memory foam. Kitchen includes a propane regular size cooking stove/oven and a double sink with regular plumbing. A small shower is also part of the setup. Loft ceilings are 4 ft at the head. The bathroom has 5'8" ceilings all around. The space has great Internet for remote working. Please note that the space uses an exterior vault toilet. This means, it does NOT have a regular indoor flushing toilet. The outdoor toilet is well kept and very clean. Please note that the studio is a converted garage. As such, it is attached to our main house. If having a door that communicates between the main house and the studio is an issue for you, our space will not work for your needs. Also, if you are looking for a space where you won't see any other humans during your stay, our space will not meet your expectations. Though the space is quiet and clean, it has a communal feel to it. It works best for those wanting a base camp when hiking/exploring our wilderness. We have another cabin close by that we also rent on Airbnb. Please ask questions prior to booking. Guest access Left Hand Canyon Rd is a recently paved two lane highway with no traffic. It is truly a beautiful commute. Other things to note The space is located at 9,250 ft in elevation five minutes away from the Indian Peaks Wilderness Area and Brainard Lake Recreational area which boasts amazing views of the Continental Divide. We are also located 40 minutes away via a beautiful scenic drive to the Rocky Mountain National Park. In addition, we are 30 minutes away via a scenic drive from Boulder. Given that we are runners, skiers and mountain bikers, we have an extensive knowledge of the trail systems in the area. We also know Colorado quite well. An aspen forest surrounds our home. As such, the space is very peaceful and private. It also has a lot of light and passive solar gain. 1. We welcome attentive to detail, clean, quiet, considerate & friendly folks. 2. In the spirit of keeping our atmosphere neutral for everyone, we try to keep our space scent/perfume free. If you are used to wearing perfumes/scents, we would greatly appreciate if you do not do so during your stay. 3. Our water comes from a glacier located in the Indian Peaks Wilderness. As such, it is unchlorinated & unfluorinated. It is really good, probably among the best in the world. 4. On your first night, please do not plan to arrive after 9:00 pm. If you Instant Book, please know that we will not be making any exceptions for after 9:00 pm arrivals. Plan accordingly. 5. Our space won't work for your needs if you are a tobacco smoker. 6. Please note that the space uses an outdoor vault toilet just like those found at national parks. It is impeccable and odor free. 7. Please know that just as in the rest of the US & Canada, you might experience a power outage during your stay. It is happening all around the world. As such, please understand that power outages are outside our control. They are rare but they do occur. We will not be issuing a refund even if a power outage occurs during your stay.
