Rustic vintage fishing cabin near the Beaverkill
Rustic vintage fishing cabin near the Beaverkill
Description
Located on 40 acres near the Beaverkill Covered Bridge park and campground, the cabin is a rustic and original fishing cabin that was first built in the early 1950s. From the screened porch you’ll hear the sounds of nearby Berry Brook, which runs along just under a mile of the cabin’s property. 10 minutes to Roscoe, 15 to Livingston Manor, 1 mile to the Beaverkill covered bridge for trout-related pursuits. There are multiple nearby hiking trails as well, for when the fish are being stubborn. The space As is noted in the description above, and hopefully evident in the photos, the cabin is quite rustic. It is comfortable, and well-appointed with brand new furniture (added summer 2022), but it is simple and not a polished contemporary home. Stuff creaks, the floors tilt, mice sometimes come and go. Please consider this before booking. If you are, however, looking for an original and authentic Catskills cabin, surrounded by beautiful woods and in a very special area, I think you’ll enjoy it. Guest access Guests have full access to the entire cabin, along with a private driveway and a small bluestone-paved patio area. The cabin shares 40 acres with the property’s main home, which is at the top of the hill, mostly out of sight, and owner occupied. Other things to note For those who are fitting in some river time alongside video calls (no judgement, we are too), the cabin’s Wi-Fi is powered by a brand new fiber optic internet line. 100/25 MBPS of pure Zoom bliss, to get you done and back on the river faster.
