A spiral staircase alongside the container provides access to the roof deck that has a hammock, soaking tub with both hot and cold water, a grill, and outdoor seating table for two. The outdoor space has been uniquely designed to bring a taste of West Texas to the Hill Country. Please note that the rooftop tub is an outdoor tub, not a hot tub. Unfortunately Airbnb only has a limited amount of categories it lists for amenities and outdoor tub is not on of them, so hot tub is the next closest option! You can see in our listing pictures exactly what it looks like! Nestled on 27 private acres in Johnson City, Desert Rose Ranch is surrounded by towering oak trees, native landscaping and wildlife. Please note there is only one shipping container on the 27 acres and no other structures so guests have complete privacy! You can satisfy your wildest adventure during the day and relax at night by the fire pit while absorbing the starry sky above. The container is on a well system like many other properties in the Hill Country, which means the water may taste a bit different from what you're used to. Feel free to bring bottled water for your stay based on your preference! Please note that we do not supply charcoal for the grill or wood/fire starters for the fire-pit. If you plan to use either of these, please bring a supply of your own. Use of the fire-pit is currently prohibited due to the current burn ban (see more below). We will update guests if this gets lifted during your stay. Please note that the rooftop tub does not get filled prior to your stay. This is because it is an outdoor tub and filling it prior to your stay could result in the water not looking fresh due to insects or other natural debris getting in it. When not in use, please put the cover back on it to help it stay clean. BLANCO COUNTY BURN BAN: As of right now, Blanco County is NOT under a burn ban. Use of the firepit is permitted while we are under the burn ban. Please note that anytime you book a home in Texas Hill Country, there is always the risk that the county could be under a burn ban based on recent weather conditions. We work hard to keep our guests updated on the current status of any burn bans. This home has a rooftop tub that can run hot water so even if a burn ban is in effect, we offer the rooftop tub as another way for guests to enjoy the outdoors while staying warm. You can check the Blanco County Fire Marshal's website for the updated status on any burn bans. Guest access The Shipping Container and surrounding 27 acres of the property are the ideal locale for intimate celebrations, creative retreats, photo shoots, adventuring or a relaxing weekend getaway. You will have access to the entire property throughout your stay. Please let us know how you plan to use the space so we can accommodate as needed. All photo shoots must be approved by the owners prior to booking. Other things to note Firewood, charcoal and lighter fluid are not provided, but you are welcome to bring your own provided a burn ban is not in effect.
