Romance Meets Historic Flint Hills Downtown Loft

Built in 1863, this romantic second story 1 BR loft features the original hardwood floors and clawfoot tub with shower attachment. Enjoy a couples getaway within walking distance of downtown Council Grove, KS. After a day of exploring, return to grill your own Tiffany Cattle Company steaks on the outdoor terrace! Soak the everyday stress away before falling asleep in the queen-sized wrought iron bed. Enjoy free WiFi & modern-day amenities such as a Smart TV and stay as long as you like! The space This historic property is located within a two-story building which also serves as our coworking business and event venue. While we do not anticipate any interaction between our business clients and our guests, it is possible you may hear noise from an event below the space. Secondly, in keeping with the historic theme we have restored an original clawfoot tub from the early 1900s. It does have a hand-held shower wand, but currently we do not have a stand up shower kit assembled. Please know it is also located in the bedroom itself, not in the private bathroom where the toilet is. The sectional sofa ottomans can be reconfigured to your liking for optional sleeping arrangements. This is the only furniture we encourage you to move. Please be careful lifting the ottomans as the cushions are only Velcroed on. The room has been designed to reflect an opulent 1800’s casino in Santa Fe, NM owned by the famous Doña Tules. Guest access You will have access to a public hallway and patio. Your suite, however, is completely private. No other room on the second story or the main level venue are accessible. There is one exception! Our Suite is located above our coworking space. If you are traveling during the week we can offer a drop-in experience for you at no additional charge for one day! Just let me know if you would like to get some work done while you’re here and I’ll set you up! Other things to note We have renovated this space with as many original fixtures as possible. The sink, tub and toilet are nearly 100 years old and well loved (also stained!) we can assure you, however, they have been scoured and are cleaned thoroughly with each visit. One last perk for staying with us- we are local beef producers by day. If you would like to grill your own steaks on the outdoor patio, or take them home with you, just let us know, we will bring them to the suite and I’ll add $30/package to your stay! Enjoy!
