The Manors roomy 16th Century Cottage rests within the confines of the beautiful ‘Parc Rural du Cotentin’ in Normandy. Immersed in history on June 6th 1944 the house was at the centre of the American 82nd Airborne landing zones. Now a tranquil backwater, the Manor Cottage will serve as the perfect base to explore this timeless area of picturesque villages with their street cafes, or the nearby ‘Blue Flag’ beaches. Please note we are unable to host children under 15 years of age. The space Benefitting from a recent, extensive and very tasteful restoration the Manor Cottage is now ready to receive guests for 2024. On the ground floor the entrance hall leads one to the beautiful and very well-equipped kitchen, ready and waiting for even the most serious of chef’s. The large tastefully furnished sitting room, with its ancient chimney and woodburning stove, has doors leading onto the evening terrace and garden. Dining can either be ‘Al Fresco’ in the summer or at the large oak dining table set between the kitchen and sitting room. The first of the bathrooms is set on the ground floor with WC, sink and shower. The stairs take one to the first floor where a mezzanine provides access to the four double bedrooms and the second of the bathrooms. This lovely room has a WC, shower, sink and a full sized bath. The extensive courtyard provides ample parking and a grassed lawn, terrace and BBQ area. . To the front of the cottage is the ‘morning’ garden, a lawned and walled area which faces east, overlooks open fields and catches the early morning sun – an ideal spot for that first cup of coffee! The house has a ‘Smart’ TV and Wi-Fi is available throughout. Guest access Guests have full access to Manor Cottage, terrace to the rear and private garden at the front of the property.
