This architectural jewel was designed by William Krisel and built by the famed Alexander Construction Company in 1959. The house is located on a quiet cul-de-sac, offering all the comforts of home with the ambiance of a 5 star hotel resort; whether it’s lounging by the pool, cocktails at the outdoor bar or watching the desert dusk by the fire pit, this home has it all. The desert chic interior layers the past with the present. Iconic 50’s/60’s furniture and lighting sits within a modern neutral palette of earthy rust and walnut tones that provides warmth and reflects the local landscape. The open plan living and kitchen area offers a breakfast bar, dining table and lounge area, seamlessly connecting to the outdoor dining and pool areas with large sliding doors. The original stacked brick fireplace provides a historic centerpiece to the room, along with the exposed beams and wood ceiling. The large yard offers a saltwater pool and spa, fire pit, shower, lounge area, dining table, built in grill and bar seating. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms; the primary bedroom features an en-suite bathroom, opening to the large outdoor patio and outdoor shower. The two additional bedrooms share a bathroom. The living & kitchen entertainment space showcases an original midcentury brick fireplace, an oversized kitchen island and large glass sliders that open to the outdoor dining and lounge area offering views of the desert landscape and pool. The fully equipped kitchen makes cooking easy. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- • Pool & Spa The pool and spa are just steps away from the house. You’ll have full control of the spa, spa jets and pool lights. The pool deck features multiple loungers. Pool towels, toys and floats are provided. Please note that pool heating is charged separately, see below for details. • TV & Internet Samsung 4K TVs in the living room, main and 2nd bedroom. Smart TVs are equipped with YouTubeTV, Netflix, and Amazon Prime. Ultra High-speed Wifi internet (500/20 Mbps) is available throughout the property • Kitchen The kitchen comes fully equipped with utensils, coffee maker, French press, large fridge and gas range. Tea, coffee, sugar, spices and oils are also provided. • Sleep 1 Primary bedroom with King bed and ensuite bathroom. 2 bedrooms, 1 with King bed and 1 with double bed and shared bathroom. • Grill & Patio The built in outdoor grill is located on the patio, with outdoor table under a built in cabana with down lighters and pendant over the 6 x person dining table. • AC & Heating Enjoy the desert in comfort with a custom HVAC system. Guest access You’ll enjoy the entire property, driveway (space for 3 cars), desert garden, outdoor shower, horseshoe pit, fire pit, pool, spa, barbecue and high-speed wifi. The home is equipped with electronic locks (no keys are required). There’s also a washer and dryer available. Other things to note POOL HEATING This is optional and charged separately at $60 per day. Pool heat is set to 88°. The spa can be heated to 104° and is included in your nightly rate. You may decide to heat the pool at time of booking or later on, just keep in mind it may take up to 24 hrs to heat-up. PETS We allow dogs, subject to approval, with an additional fee of $100/dog (2 dog limit). Dogs must not be left unattended in the house at any time unless they are in a secure crate. Please keep dogs off all furniture, including beds. And of course, all guests must pick up after your pets (failure to do so will be subject to an additional $100 cleaning fee). POOL & LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE The pool is being cleaned and tested twice per week, Tuesday & Friday ~ 11am for 15mins each. The gardener comes every Thursday~ between 7am - 10am for ~30mins each. If this does not work with your schedule, please let us know and we will try to make other arrangements. SAFETY & SECURITY All bedrooms are equipped with smoke & carbon monoxide detectors. Fire extinguishers and first aid kit are available. For your safety and the safety of others, surveillance cameras are installed outdoors at this property. There are cameras facing the front-drive, front door and service gate. Recordings remain private and may be used for liability reasons and to monitor occupancy and other policies noted here. It in no way infringes upon the expectation of privacy in these public areas and conforms with Airbnb policies. OCCUPANCY, PARTIES & EVENTS We do NOT allow gatherings, parties or events. Maximum night-time occupancy is 6, daytime is 10. No more than 3 vehicles can be parked on or near the property at anytime. RENTAL AGREEMENT By booking, you acknowledge that you are at least 25 years of age and you agree to sign and return a written Vacation Rental Agreement and copy of your government issued photo ID no later than 48 hours prior to date of occupancy. ID verification is required. If date of booking is within 48 hours of occupancy, the rental agreement must be signed and returned upon receipt for immediate filing with the city. All legitimate, licensed vacation rentals in Palm Springs follow vacation rental laws to remain in business. These include occupancy limits, good neighbor policies, party-free homes, collection of separate hotel taxes, no outdoor music permitted, insuring renters are over the age of 25 (minimum age for all guests is 25 unless accompanied by parent or legal guardian), and an actual contract signed by the responsible renter. A copy of your government issued ID is required. Although we don't make these laws, we do follow them, so we kindly ask for your understanding in advance.
