A gas grill and outside dining table is right out your front door. Try your hand at the water pump or relax under the Tammerack tree just steps away from your fire pit. In the distance is the greenhouse, garden, and large pergola. The pergola area is an extension of our retail greenhouse business from March to mid -June. Then it transforms into a summer entertainment space for guests. Wander inside the greenhouse March and April to watch thousands of seedlings burst forth! For our culinary visitors, our greenhouse and gardens provide fresh seasonal produce and herbs May-October. Fall starts are unique harvest of fresh ginger. Step inside to be enveloped in hand-hewn double dovetail jointed construction of old growth logs. The staircase and cabinets were custom made by Vance Creek Woodworks - our Amish neighbor and craftsman. The corner wood stove is supported by a rock hearth randomly embedded with earthened treasures. The 14'x22' cabin has a open floor plan on both levels. The bathroom is located on the lower level - a well lit modest space with a composting toilet, shower and small vanity placed below a window. Generous shelving provides space for your personal items with complimentary toiletries provided. A well lit kitchen utilizes open shelving for dishware and is well provisioned with high end cookware, knives and utensils. Appliances in this small but mighty space include a 2 burner induction stove, combination convection/microwave and 10 cuft refrigerator. We're foodies so the herb racks are well stocked and a generous supply of dried pantry ingredients, condiments, organic coffee and teas. The livingroom has a full sized pull out sofa (new Jan 2026) and rocking chair seated around a braided area rug. The coffee table is on castors to easily maneuver for bed setup. The open staircase splits the upstairs into a larger bedroom area and a semi private en suite - both areas have a large double hung window providing wonderful lighting and summer cross breeze. The larger bedroom area has a generous closet with shelving, motion sensored light, iron/ironing board, and hangers. It is furnished with a queen sized bed, sitting area with 2 chairs with footstools. Check out the sizable collection of cards, retro and new board games, and puzzles. Also in this bedroom area is a desk with a 28" smart TV. It can be used as a monitor or it swivels out to watch from the seating area or from bed. Office supplies are present along with power strip/surge protector and USB charging ports. The en suite is furnished with a 75"x31" (adult sized) rollaway bed w/5" memory foam mattress and fun retro pieces - record player and record collection on an vintage typewriter cart, a tool trunk - filled with a collection of Fisher Price toys - and a small bookshelf/end table. A couple options, The bed from the en suite can be tucked away into the closet to transform this area (children's play area, yoga space). A portable crib is onsite as well as a baby gate that is easily added across the stairs. Let us know if you'd prefer any of these configurations and we'd happy to set it up in advance. Other things to note In March we begin growing in the greenhouse. It is an exciting time for us and a unique opportunity to see a niche business up close and to experience the wonders of plant husbandry. May through mid-June is our on farm retail plant sale season. Our on-farm campground opens at this time also. The additional car and foot traffic down by the greenhouse will not impede your privacy in the cabin or designated parking. The greenhouse is more than 50 yards away with trees screening your sight line. Mid-June we transition our greenhouse area. The pergola area is a shared space for all our guests- easily accommodating parties of 25 or more people and has a modest parking lot. This outdoor entertainment space provides a large canopied cushioned seating area with bistro tables and outdoor lighting. In 2025 a large deck was added which has been perfect for house band and karaoke performance. We have an additional patio table, chairs and bar with umbrella to provide additional seating and options for food and beverage service. The greenhouse contains stainless steel tables, sink with hot/cold water, small refrigerator, lights and electrical outlets. Portapotties are also onsite for guest use. Due to our greenhouse season, we're not able to host in May and June. Send us your questions if interested in us hosting your July - October event.
