Cottage in Winchester

Make lasting memories at this unique and family-friendly cottage on the Kentucky River. Enjoy nature at its best, along with all the comforts of home. With a pool, hot tub, and putting green there is plenty to do to unwind. Guests return year after year. This property is located on the riverbank. You may encounter bugs while enjoying the outdoors. We conduct regular exterminations to reduce encounters. You will also enjoy the songs of many birds, glow of lightening bugs, and seeing the stars. The space We have attended to many details ~ thanks to my wife. Your kitchen is fully stocked for meal prep, coffee, waffles, double fridge + bar fridge, and more. Indoor and outdoor dining, or maybe you’d enjoy dining by the pool? Rainy day, we have WiFi, cards, board games, books, and a covered deck. Two restaurants and a winery within a 5 minute drive. You will want to go shopping on Main Street. Bring home dessert from dessert from Cupcake Apothecary (they offer more than cupcakes - perfect macarons.) Absence of a four sided isolation fence around the pool requires strict adult supervision of children, and a responsible water watcher for all swimmers. No running, glass containers, or diving is permitted. Guest access Guests have full access to the cottage, pool, and backyard. The pool is not on the same floor as the accommodations. It is accessible by stairs off the deck, and a sidewalk at the ground level. There is a bridge that connects the cottage deck to our home deck to allow for an additional fire exit. In addition to the scenic river view, birdwatchers come to observe eagles, woodpeckers, owls, herons, and more. Other things to note We have a friendly, Great Pyrenees dog named Fancy, and a medium sized mixed breed named Rico. There are also other dogs in the neighborhood. This means occasional barking. Pool Rules- The deck is hot on bare feet. No diving is permitted. There is a poolside bar area, and walking on the bar is not permitted. Absence of a four sided isolation fence around the pool and hot tub requires strict adult supervision of children, and a responsible water watcher for all swimmers. For safety, you must close the hot tub cover after every use. Swimming alone is a safety risk. There is no lifeguard on duty. We are not liable for accidental injury. Security Cameras are located at the front and back of our house to reduce the likelihood of uninvited guests.
