Rental of two rural gites with pool, bikes, games

Summer fun and relaxation with friends or extended family. Two stone gites with shared garden, pool and other facilities. See my other two listings that show details and reviews for each of the two gites that make up this summer time offer. In a post Covid world I felt it would be better to allow one large group to have the place to themselves rather than sharing with other guests they don't know. Although we live on site (with our two dogs and one cat) we don't use any of the facilites. The space ACCOMMODATION/INSIDE SPACE: 3 BEDROOM GITE « L’écurie », the former stables, retains many original features such as beams & stone walls, yet provides modern comforts to make for a relaxing stay. DOWNSTAIRS: Kitchen/diner - gas oven, 4 burner hob, fridge-freezer, microwave, washer, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, kettle, pressure cooker, cool box, picnic set with rug, large farmhouse dining table & dresser. Sliding patio doors leading onto south-facing courtyard. Lounge with flat screen satellite TV (English & French free channels) integrated DVD player, bluetooth speaker, selection of books (in English), games & DVDs. Door to west facing side garden. Three steps with handrail down to rear hall with door to back north facing garden & parking area – we can put a child gate at the **TOP** of these steps ON REQUEST. Off the hall: double bedroom (1 x 140cm) with window, family bathroom with bath, separate shower cubicle, WC, basin, heated towel rail, shaver socket, extractor fan & window. Underfloor heating downstairs. UPSTAIRS: Double bedroom (1 x 140cm) with dressing table, picture window with shutters and black out curtain and views over surrounding countryside, radiator. Twin bedroom (2 x 90cm) roof window with black out blind, radiator. WC & wash-hand basin. There’s a child gate at the **TOP** of the stairs. A baby pack is available, free of charge if requested at the time of booking - it includes a travel cot, high chair/booster seat & changing mat. Other indoor facilities include a hairdryer, hoover, iron and ironing board, wash basket, pegs & clothes airer. Bed linen and towels are NOT included in the price but may be hired - see Other Details to Note 2 BEDROOM GITE « La Laiterie » the former milking parlour, retains many original features such as a heavily beamed ceiling and stone walls, yet provides modern comforts to make for a relaxing stay. DOWNSTAIRS: Kitchen/diner - gas oven and 4 burner hob with extractor fan over, fridge-freezer, microwave, washer, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, kettle, pressure cooker, cool box, picnic set with rug, dining table. Lounge - 'Click-Clack' sofa bed with sprung mattress that converts into a double bed. Flat screen TV (English and French free channels), DVD player, Bluetooth speaker, selection of books (in English), games and DVDs, glass fronted **WOOD BURNING FIRE**, large patio doors leading onto south-facing courtyard. UPSTAIRS: Bedroom 1 - double bed with over-bed lights, dressing table, picture window with shutters and black out curtain and uninterrupted views over surrounding countryside, roof window with black out blind. Bedroom 2 - two single beds with over-bed lights, roof window with black out blind. Bathroom - bath, separate shower cubicle, WC, basin, heated towel rail, shaver socket, extractor fan, roof window. A child gate is available and can be mounted at the **TOP** of the stairs ON REQUEST. OUTSIDE SPACE AND FACILITIES: In the photos you’ll see images showing the outdoor space and facilities (eg pool, gardens, bikes, games, parking). A written description is provided in the section “Guest Access”. Guest access There are two gites situated next to each other (semi-detached).. Each has their own garden area with barbecue, teak garden furniture and rotary clothes dryer. The pool, bikes, other leisure equipment, central courtyard and parking are shared with the other members of your group staying in the second gite you are renting. In other words you and your entourage have all the accommodation and facilities to yourselves. For privacy and security, the outdoor pool, large covered terrace with WC/changing and games area are set within the walls of an old barn situated across the courtyard. The unsupervised, in-ground 8x4m pool is open mid June to mid September, weather permitting. There’s a selection of bikes covering most ages, two tandems, a tag-along bike and two child seats. Basket ball and tennis/badminton nets, table football, table skittles, darts, swing-ball and a selection of bats and balls. Although the pool isn’t heated it is insulated and we use solar and security covers to help raise and conserve the temperature of the water. I open and close the covers each day. I also use a robot pool cleaner and test the water daily. Although we live on site (please see the plan in the photos) we do not use any of the facilities. Other things to note Please look at the plan included in the photos showing the layout of the gardens, the two gites, our house and the pool area etc As we are in a rural location, the broadband internet speeds are not high. Historically holiday guests have found it adequate for light holiday needs. If fast wifi is important to you, this accommodation is not suited to your requirements. There is 4G coverage in the area. Bed linen (sheets/pillow-cases) and towels are NOT provided, but may be hired (15€ per bed, 5€ per set of 1 hand & 1 bath towel). If you would like to hire something please contact us when booking so it is all included in the price. I will need to send you a "special offer" to include the extras and you will have to accept it. An initial supply of household and cupboard items is provided, but you will need to purchase additional supplies yourselves. These items include toilet rolls, bin bags, dishwasher tablets, washing powder, washing up liquid, salt, pepper, tea, coffee and sugar. The cost of central heating is NOT included, but can be provided at a cost of 15€ per night, per gite - we require advance notice of this. Please contact us when booking so it is all included in the price and ready for your arrival. I will need to send you a "special offer" to include the extras and you will have to accept it. In our opinion, the fire in La Laiterie warms the accommodation well and wood for the fire is included in the price of reservations for stays from October through to April. We have two small to medium size, friendly and playful dogs - they are not allowed in the gites or pool area, but you are likely to see them (as well as us and our shy ginger cat) during your stay. The dogs both love meeting people and fetching the ball.
