The Blue Heron Rest. “Glamping” tent for two

Canvas dome tent with futon/double bed on a platform. A tote of basic kitchen supplies will be provided (dishes, cutlery, pots, cast iron fry pan, cutlery, basic utensils). The site has Its own river view, a Private fire pit with Adirondack chairs, picnic table, BBQ and a patio umbrella. Comfort station is near by with composting toilet and out door shower with hot water. The space The River View Country Getaway is a peaceful, private camping experience in Ailsa Craig Ontario. This is one of our 6 accommodations found on Airbnb. All sites have a private fire pit and shared use of riverside deck where you can fish, or just relax with a drink and a good book. We are located 20 mins N/W of London and Grand Bend beach is just 20 minutes away. Walk into Ailsa Craig (5 min) if you need groceries or a treat at the corner store. Guest access Lower deck by the river is a shared space with home owners and other campers. Other things to note River view country Getaway is a 3 acres private property which contains the owners home and 6 Glamping sites with various amenities. You are welcome to interact as little or as much as you like with other guests in shared areas. (Deck, outdoor games area) Please note that river side access is challenging and kayaking/canoeing capacity in The Ausable River changes throughout the summer and is dependant on the amount of rainfall. This site does not include linens or pillows so please bring your favourites from home! We are a dog friendly property and do request that dogs be leashed but some dog love is possible!
