Fully enjoy your time upstate in our newly renovated guesthouse. Hidden on 8 acres of woods and bluestone outcrops and just 5 minutes from downtown Woodstock, this one bedroom cottage has beds for 4, a full kitchen, and a private cedar lined sauna. If the beautiful property isn’t enough, the vintage fireplace, heated bathroom floors, induction range, and an in-ground fire pit will make you want to move in permanently. 30 day minimum. The space The heart of the space is the beautiful A-frame living room and glass wall that frames the vintage mid-century fire place. Off one side of the living room is a bedroom with a queen bed, small, built-in closets and direct patio access. The bedroom can be closed off from the living room with a sliding door. The integrated kitchen is small but well equipped. It has a full sink and drying rack, an induction range, a convection oven/microwave, and a mini fridge with a small internal freezer. The kitchen is stocked with all the basic cookware and staples you should need. The bathroom is next to the kitchen and has a heated floor and overhead shower. At the end of the living room is a fully built out sleeping loft. Climb a rolling library ladder to access the two twin or a queen mattress - perfect for kids or an additional couple. The sauna is located in the front entrance of the cottage and has lockers and towels for your use. The wifi is fast but I there is no TV Guest access The cottage shares the property with our family’s vacation home and the two houses are located right next to each other. During the summer, we’re around most of the time but the rest of the year we only visit on holidays and occasional weekends. We have a small dog and two young children that you will regularly find in the yard and pool. You’re welcome to use the pool whenever you want - it’s kept at 88 degrees (during the spring and summer) The pool is beautifully situated between the trees and although we have it cleaned weekly, it gets leaves and acorns in it daily. When we’re there, we regularly skim and vacuum it ourselves and you should plan on doing the same if you’re onsite alone. We also have a bbq and wonderful new fire pit that you are welcome to use. Just be respectful and clean up after yourselves. And of course feel free to explore the 8 acres of woods - keep an eye out for deer, owls, coyotes and friendly black bears!
