Comfortable double bedroom with countryside views in old farmhouse. Ideally suited for Snape Maltings, the home of the annual Aldeburgh festival. Aldeburgh with its beach and unique high street. Southwold with its pier, beach and lighthouse, the home of Adnam's brewery. Also, Woodbridge and Framlingham with the castle. Private bathroom (not ensuite) with bath and shower fitting on taps. Numerous local footpaths for country walks. We have a dog, cats and horses and a garden guests can use. The space The house was built in 1860, we moved here in 2001 and built an extension. We've been gradually renovating since then. This was our family home until the children flew the nest. Guest access As well as the bedroom guests can use the dining room and garden. Other things to note We can cater for horses (field) if anyone wants to have a holiday with them. We have a 2nd bedroom available if you are travelling with friends or family and would like to stay in one place. There is a cold breakfast available in the dining room, this includes items such as croissants, muffins, cereal, and butter / jam. This does all depend on stock as being rural we only go to supermarkets once a week. The room includes shampoo, conditioner and shower / bath gel and we can provide for those forgotten emergencies such as toothbrush / paste if needed as well as sanitary ware. The bathroom is accessed downstairs from the room, this bathroom DOEs NOT have a shower. There are no catering facilities available, such as a kitchen or fridge / freezer. Please also note, like many rural properties, we do not have mains drains so please don't put anything except functions and toilet paper in the basins. Guests will be provided with a key after check-in so they have freedom, or we can send details of the key safe if we won't be here. In the room there are details of local eateries, shops and places to visit. If you have any particular requirements, then please request in advance. For those guests visiting to tour on the Suffolk Coast cycle route we can provide dry and secure storage for bikes.
