Other things to note Ferry service to Guemes Island doesn't take reservations and is NOT part of the Washington State Ferry route that goes to the San Juan Islands/Victoria, B.C. Both ferries leave from Anacortes, but terminals are at different locations. The Guemes Ferry terminal is located at 500 I. Ave, Anacortes, WA 98221. Check Line Time (linetime.org) for current ferry schedule. Make sure ferry times suit your travel needs. Lines can be long on summer and holiday weekends so plan to get in line 30-60 minutes prior to desired departure time. The ferry holds up to 21 cars. Ferry crew will come to your vehicle to sell you a round-trip ticket to Guemes Island. Credit or debit card only. No cash. Plan to buy groceries in Anacortes before catching the ferry for the best selection and price. The Guemes Island General Store sells gas, essential grocery items, beer, and wine. It also offers freshly baked goods, ice cream, and a small but tasty dine-in menu.
