Harpers Ferry House for Family Events

Welcome to the Harpers Ferry House, your private retreat to relax with family & friends or host family gatherings. We host events up to 60 guests. History surrounds you in your rustic but elegant chef’s kitchen with beams up-cycled from barges that once ran the historic C&O canal. For the adventuresome, it’s river tubing, zip lining & hiking the AT. Minutes from Loudoun’s best vineyards, breweries & Historic Harper's Ferry. Our two other AirBnBs are within a 2 minute drive. The space You, your family and friends have exclusive access to this comfortable, delightfully appointed vacation retreat. Enjoy the covered front porch with a table for 10 or settle into the cozy outdoor furniture under the pergola or out at the fire pit (we provide firewood) for s’mores or overlooking our vast meadow. The private enclosed yard is complete with your own rustic bar. We have 10 x 30 event tents available for your use for family gatherings. The main level features two bedrooms ( 1 w/queen bed & 1 w/ 2 twins) and a full bath for guests that prefer not to climb stairs. History, hiking, river rafting & zip lining are just minutes away. Trout fishing enthusiasts will delight with private access to the Piney Run trout stream. There’s even a fishing pole at the back door. Although we are absolutely family friendly, the house and the grounds are NOT childproof. Please watch little ones closely. Remember, we are a very rural property. Your adventure may include new sounds including cattle mooing, coyotes, foxes and bobcats howling, owls screeching, hunting, farming equipment and other activities you won’t hear in the city. Please don’t be alarmed but rather enjoy your stay at our little bit of country heaven. It’s an easy walk to our sister property on AirBnB: The Chalet at Harpers Ferry (sleeps 8) or just a two minute drive to our newest property, the Manor at Harpers Ferry (sleeps 16) Yes! We would love to host your party or special event but only with prior permission. Please ask before inviting any extra guests. Guest access Enjoy this beautiful five bedroom, three bathroom home with a fenced yard and the Piney Run trout stream in your front yard. Private outdoor spaces nestled beneath a pergola complete with outdoor fans and your own rustic bar. The cozy fire pit just beyond the pergola features Adirondack chairs and plenty of firewood for you. Other things to note This is a vacation Paradise! We have fabulous midweek rates Sunday through Thursday!! Our sister property The Chalet at Harpers Ferry (sleeps 8) is just a short walk way. And, our newest property, the Manor at Harpers Ferry (sleeps 16) is just two minutes south on Harpers Ferry Road. When your time allows, we suggest a three or more night stay so you can enjoy the nearby history, attractions, trout fishing and variety of outdoor activities. Award winning wineries, breweries, nearby river rafting, snow tubing, great restaurants, ski areas, history, hiking, biking and more! It’s all within minutes of the Harpers Ferry house. Come! Bring the family and friends and enjoy this 10 acres of paradise! We have recently partnered with Cork and Keg Tours to provide transportation to local wineries restaurants, Dulles airport and more. Contact them and mention Tammy Bane for member pricing. They guarantee transportation for reservations made seven days in advance. Service dogs and your furry friends are welcome with an additional $125 per pet fee.  Guest may request host to waive fee for service animal by providing this info at time of booking: 1 - Is the dog a service animal required because of a disability? 2 - What work or task has the dog been trained to perform? And, just a note to families with small children. We love hosting you but please keep an eye on the little ones because we are not childproof although we are certainly family friendly and offer a booster chair, bath seat and porta crib for your use
