The Hideaway is a tiny home located in the heart of the Cornish fishing village Portscatho on The Roseland Peninsula. It's a stone's throw away from the beach making it perfect for those that love an adventure, a coastal walk or those seeking the peace and tranquility that Cornwall has to offer. The Hideaway is well presented throughout featuring an open plan living space with modern kitchen, dining table and lounge area. It has a cosy double bedroom with an ensuite shower room. Outside consists of a small patio and seating area. Set within the heart of Portscatho, The Hideaway is an ideal base for those looking to explore the Cornish coastline, and right on the doorstep you have some beautiful shops, pubs, cafes and beaches. Everything should be set up for you to enjoy your stay, however if you have any problems or questions during your stay, feel free to contact me via the phone number or email address you can find in your guest information pack. Portscatho is nestled in the heart of the Rosland Peninsula and is brimming with character. The East facing cove provides shelter making it an ideal base for safe swimming in it's clear blue waters. In the village you will find several lovely shops including the well stocked village store, galleries and quaint gift shops. Scattered throughout the village are numerous galleries full of the creations of talented local artists. There is a charming 18th century pub called "The Plume of Feathers" offering an excellent selection of beers, ales and craft spirits with food served all day. There is a lovely cafe "The Boathouse " which do a great takeaway or sit in menu. You can enjoy a delicious coffee and hand baked teat with a sea view at Tatams coffee hut. Take the cliff path North out of the village and under 15 minutes you will reach the Hidden Hut, a hidden gem on our doorstep. No fat fryers just a simple outdoor stove with local, fresh ingredients. You'll find the Harbour club in the village which has pool tables, a snooker room and sports TV. Enjoy all this with spectacular views of Gerrans Bay on their balcony. Whether you're alone, with family or on a romantic getaway, Portscatho feels worlds apart from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. A perfect place to get away and enjoy. You can get around the area mostly by foot. You can walk to the local pubs and cafès. If you would like to go further afield a car would be a good idea or there is a local bus service. There is free parking in The Square opposite and along The lugger. Parking duration varies depending on the season. Please check the sign. Cheap cash only parking is available at The Memorial Hall, Gerrans Hill TR2 5EE. Please note that The Hideaway is not suitable for children or infants. This is due to the size of the property which only has 1 bed and no room for a cot. In the guest information pack provided you will find information on the local area and facilities.
