Timber Creek Retreat

Get away for a restful stay at this scenic hidden gem of Vernon County. Timber Coulee Creek, a Class 1 trout stream, ripples right through the backyard. You will enjoy watching deer and turkey as they amble through the property. Bald eagles soar overhead and fish jump in the stream. Listen to the gurgle of the water flowing over the rocks and the music of the birds. Try your hand at fly fishing. Sit around the fire pit, roast marshmallows, watch the flames dance and the stars come out. The space The clean, cozy cottage will easily accommodate a single family or your favorite fishing buddies. Fully functional kitchen includes microwave, stove, fridge, dishwasher, coffee pot, Keurig, toaster, electric skillet, cooking kettles, pizza pan, utensils, plates, cups, flatware, to-go cups, coffee, k-cups, sugar, basic spices, oatmeal packets, and cooking oil. There is a new gas grill on the porch just outside the kitchen to use at your convenience. Open concept dining/living room features large windows overlooking the backyard creek, a dining table with 4 chairs, and comfy living room furniture. The spacious master bedroom has a king size bed and large walk-in closet. A bathroom with full amenities and walk-in shower complete the main floor. The walkout basement has a roomy lounge /play area with a futon, which can be used as a full size bed, and a desk for work or creativity. Patio doors provide easy access to the backyard fire pit and creek. A semi-private bedroom just off the lounge area has a queen size bed and an attached private half bath with sink and toilet. A washer and dryer are available for use in the utility room. There is no TV. Wifi is your only access to the noisier world. Guest access You can park in the garage or in front of the garage. Other things to note *Constant outdoor supervision of young children is needed due to proximity of road and creek. *Firewood is available for use in the fire pit. *There are no checkout requirements. If you wish to take out the trash there is a bin in the garage you may place it in, but it’s not expected of you.
