The Mill Country Cottage And Barns

The Mill House is a 200 year old traditional Welsh farmhouse cottage on 2 floors. It is located in the tiny hamlet which is remote and outstanding in its natural beauty. It is an official dark sky area. Myriad hikes and rambles are accessible from the front door. From gentle strolls over the Epynnt Way to more taxing climbs up Pen Y Fan and surrounding mountains. It is a mile walk from the local pub which provides ales, ciders, wine and good pub food. Brecon is a half hour drive away. The space The Mill is a three bedroom 17th cottage, original period features and stone walls, with an attached barn with a play/leisure area/work space. There are a plethora of books, records, CDs, DVDs, Toys, Craft facilities, drum kit, guitar. There is also a wooden gypsy caravan in the garden for rest/play. There is half an acre of land, including enclosed circular garden, stepped back garden with top field and woodland. An array of wildlife and opportunities to forage. Table tennis table and other sports equipment available. Please note, we always do a changeover and clean of course but do forgive the odd cob web! Guest access Guests have full private use of the whole property and grounds. But please do not go into the second barn to the right of the property- the door is blocked off- it’s a storage area. Other things to note There is a large TV and DVD player but there is no terrestrial TV, everything is streamed with super fast wi-fi- Amazon, Netflix through Apple TV . The barn is a place for muddy wellies, wet dogs, playing- we give it a once over every now and then but please don’t expect it to be free of cobwebs or dust!
