Located in the heart of the Chaîne des Puys and its natural sites classified as UNESCO heritage (lakes, forests, Gergovie plateau, Puy de Dôme...). This townhouse consists of a large living room with its office area (TV, Wi-Fi…). Two sofas including one convertible, wood stove, dining room with equipped kitchen, bathroom with two showers, toilet. (towel not provided) Upstairs, two double bedrooms, a dormitory with two double beds and a sofa bed, toilet. (bed sheets provided) Guests will enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding countryside and the Château d'Opme and its gardens (its primitive construction dates from the end of the 11th century, visit recommended). If necessary you can use the bike and/or motorcycle (3) room located just below the cottage, it is secure and very easy to access. Guest access Entire home with access to a room to store your bikes, motorcycles or other equipment. Other things to note Exposed in a preserved environment, hikers and mountain bikers will not lack paths in the Chaîne des Puys, to discover its 80 volcanoes, without forgetting the Chaîne du Sancy, further south. Beautiful days and splendid views await you. On site, we organize à la carte outings, if you wish. Climbers, climbing spots are available nearby: in Ceyrat or Saurier, the Roche Tuilière, the Dent de la Rancune, the Crête de Coq, in the Massif du Sancy or at the B'UP climbing gym in the Brézet area (15 minutes from the gîte). Skiers, cross-country skiers or snowshoe enthusiasts, discover the snow-capped mountains of Mont-Dore and Super-Besse. These resorts offer you (in winter) a ski area with several kilometers of slopes. You can practice off-piste ski touring with the option of hiring a mountain guide. Paragliders. There are several take-off sites, Corent, Saint-Sandoux and the best known 20 minutes from the cottage, the Puy-de-Dôme. The panoramic train will take you to the top to discover the full beauty of the volcanoes, not to mention the sumptuous sunsets. You want to explore the surroundings, at Puy de Sancy, Puy de la Tache, Puy de l'Angle, Roc de Cuzeau, Puy de Paillaret, Puy Ferrand… you can fly on site and for those who wish to go cross-country, a shuttle will pick you up at the location of your choice. Lovers of emotions and thrills, go rafting or canoeing down the Allier gorges, alone or accompanied by professionals. You will find routes adapted to your physical condition. Fishermen, enthusiasts, beginners, the Allier, the Sioule, Lake Guéry (mountain lake where ice fishing is practiced), Lake Aydat… offer you superb potential for fishing and relaxation by the water. Adventurers, with friends or family, choose from many tree climbing courses or adventure courses in Puy-de-Sancy, Murol, Aydat, Charade or Lezoux… suitable for children and adults.
