The charming wooden house was built in 1976 by my parents as a holiday home for family and friends and has always been a place to slow down and spend meaningful time together. Whether as a couple seeking a quiet getaway, a trip with friends, or a relaxed family stay, the focus here is on enjoying time together. Built in traditional Alpine style with plenty of wood, it is an older, simple house with history, lovingly furnished and full of warmth and comfort. The true luxury here lies in slowing down and enjoying privacy. Nature & Surroundings Surrounded by unspoiled nature, the house is quietly situated on a 3-hectare property (not fenced) with forest and meadows, just a few minutes from the centre of Bad Ischl. Nature can be experienced right outside the door – squirrels gathering nuts, deer occasionally passing through the forest, birds singing, leaves rustling in the wind, views of the surrounding mountains and a clear starry sky at night. Living & Relaxing The indoor fireplace creates a warm and cosy atmosphere throughout the year, while the sauna offers relaxation after an active day in the mountains or by one of the nearby lakes. Underfloor heating in the living room on the ground floor provides additional comfort, and the house is equipped with infrared heating panels. Books, games for the whole family, a retro record player, candles, blankets and cushions create a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. A large round dining table invites shared meals and long evenings together. Kitchen & Amenities The kitchen is small and simple, yet fully equipped with everything needed for cooking, including a Nespresso machine and an Italian coffee maker with coffee provided. Raclette and fondue are available for cosy evenings, and a 5-burner gas grill can be used on the terrace. A washing machine and dryer are also available. Overall, the house offers a well-thought-out basic equipment so guests can arrive and feel comfortable without needing to organise much. Bedrooms The upper floor features three bedrooms: a master bedroom with a double bed (180 cm), another bedroom with a double bed (160 cm), and a guest room with two single beds and a desk. An interior balcony overlooks the living area. WiFi is available throughout the house. For relaxed evenings, a large smart TV (approx. 130 inch projection) with Netflix, Amazon Prime, Spotify and Audible including Sonos Soundsystem is available. Location & Activities Guests have exclusive use of the entire house, terrace, garden and the 3-hectare property. Parking is available directly in front of the house, and a garage is also provided. A special highlight is access to a private swimming spot at nearby Lake Wolfgangsee, located in a beautiful bay. Walks lead to nearby Lake Nussensee or to the local mountain of Bad Ischl, the Katrin. The lakes of the Salzkammergut region are easily accessible, as well as the UNESCO World Heritage town of Hallstatt (approx. 30 minutes by car) and the city of Salzburg, birthplace of Mozart and Sound of Music Tours (approx. 60 minutes by car).
