Peaceful Escape: Bay Ridge Cottage by the Bay

Come escape to our place at the Bay! Relax and reconnect with loved ones in this classic, family friendly cottage located in the private community of Bay Ridge. The neighborhood is great for walking, biking and relaxing on the private beach right at the end of the street. We love it here because we physically feel ourselves relax within minutes of arriving. The space The house is a 3 minute walk from the Chesapeake Bay. There is a master bedroom with a king bed and twin bunk beds. The 2nd bedroom has a queen bed. The loft area at the top of the spiral staircase has a queen air mattress, please bring your own sheets and linens if you plan to use it. There is a pack n play for young kids, please bring sheet as a backup in case the one provided isnt available. There is a newly renovated bathroom. The main living areas and bedrooms have central air and heat. Our Bay house has been in the same family for over 60 years. Come spend some time experiencing some of our favorite things: chilling on the screened in porch with a cold beverage, walking the neighborhood to take in the amazing views, playing at the beach and in the bay and finishing the day with an evening walk to the beach to watch the sunset. Guest access The entire house is yours to use. The beaches are private for our neighborhood only and you are free to enjoy them. There is no parking at the beach access but the beach is only a short walk away, you can see the water from the street in front of our house. Please feel free to use the provided beach chairs (4-6 chairs) and other supplies at the beach. Kindly rinse off any sand and put them neatly back on the porch when finished. The hose is located on the small deck off of the back side of the screen porch on the right side of the house. Any chairs already on the beach are typically private property of owners. The shed in the back is reserved for owners items only. Other things to note Please note that prior to beginning to rent the house, the owners’ dogs have stayed here and do occasionally visit when their owners come spend a weekend. The house is professionally cleaned before each new guest check in. Please use the provided water cooler for drinking water, the well water is not recommended for drinking. The fireplace is NOT for guest use. It is not safe to use. All sheets, linens and bath towels are provided, as well as beach towels. If you plan to use the queen air mattress, please bring your own sheets. You are welcome to use the washer and dryer, they are brand new but smaller so please don’t overload them. Please clean out the dryer lint after use. Trash & Recycling pickup are very early on Monday morning. Trash cans are located on the right and/or left side of the house ( near where the hose is on the right). Please put the containers out Sunday night. The house can only hold a maximum of 8 guests, it can sleep 6 in beds and 2 would be on an air mattress ( bring own sheets for use). We do have a camera on the front porch so please do adhere to our policy. The house is located in a residential neighborhood and there are many neighbors within 20 feet of us. Please no loud noises, especially on the screen porch, after 10 pm during the week and 11 pm on the weekends. Absolutely no parties of any kind are allowed.
