Welcome to Roy's House! Located less than half a mile from Wrightsville Beach, this historic beach cottage makes for a perfect vacation. This 3-bedroom, 3-bath home offers views of the Sound and is minutes away from the ocean. Located in a beautiful neighborhood, this house is perfect for families or groups looking for a cozy beach house. The space We're a short walk from both downtown Wrightsville beach and Wrightsville Beach Park. Just a 5-minute walk over the bridge, Downtown Wrightsville Beach offers a great selection of local bars, restaurants, shops, coffee shops, and more. There's a public beach access right over the bridge, and others that dot up and down the island. This house was built in 1948 by our Uncle Roy and has stayed in the family ever since. His wife Doris taught kindergarten to local kids out of the house throughout the 1940s and 50s. There have been a few renovations and add-ons over the years, but the charm of the original home has been maintained. The structure remains in-tact and the wood flooring is the original subfloor that was revealed years ago from a renovation. We hope you find this home as special as we do! The house is suited for families or groups of up to 6 people. There are two bedrooms downstairs with two full baths. The master bedroom is located upstairs, with the private ensuite bathroom showcasing beautiful views of the water. The other room on the second floor is a quiet space with a desk that could be used as an office, or a space for a crib/pack and play. We have high speed fiber optic internet with service throughout the entire house for guests that are looking to work remotely. The back patio has an outdoor large flat screen tv with ample seating, and a propane gas grill you're welcome to use- perfect for relaxing after a long day at the beach. Launch your kayak at South Channel Park- just steps away from our house. Guest access You will have the entire house. With the carport and driveway, we can accommodate up to four spots for off-street parking. This home is non-smoking and pet-friendly. No events allowed that may exceed the occupancy of the house. We ask that you please be mindful of noise levels- this house is located in a family neighborhood not meant for partying.
