Ned & Toni will greet you at the beginning and end of your stay, and are available for any queries or to help during your stay but otherwise you will be very much in solitude. Providing privacy & peace to our guests is very important to us! Dogs are welcome on Davaar and there is a £25 pet surcharge (maximum of 2 pets). Please be aware that there are wild goats and sheep roaming as well as some very steep cliffs so if there is any risk that your dog may chase livestock then we ask you keep it on a lead. Guest access Guests can roam freely across the whole Island and explore a network of stunning trails, caves, summits, rocky coastline and an abundance of wildlife. On booking, island caretakers Toni & Ned will email and advise on the best collection time and send details of our dedicated parking area on the mainland. Ned will then transport you and your luggage across the causeway to the cottage and the same will happen at the end of your stay. Please bring as much luggage as you might need as we have a large vehicle which can accommodate quite a load. Some guests also choose to walk the causeway and meet their luggage at the other end. It makes for a lovely walk at the end of a long journey! Please note you cannot drive your own vehicle across the causeway. Normal vehicles will get stuck due to sand/shingle. We cannot be responsible for towing you out! We arrange transport in our 4x4 with an experienced driver. Thank you! Other things to note We recommend walking boots and/or wellies. There are beautiful walks on and around the island and the mainland too...all made easier by a sturdy pair of boots!
