A contract now legally needed in Andalucia called “temporary/holiday rental contract for holiday use” will be signed by both parties (the villa was approved in 2016 and follows the standards according to the the New Holiday Property Rental Law in Andalusia). The villa is situated in the highly desirable neighborhood of Seghers, Estepona. Set on a gentle hillside, Seghers commands some fabulous sea views. It is a peaceful and well maintained community, favoured by those looking for a quiet setting but with quick access to amenities. The villa is close to Supersol, playground, gym ( Las Mesas), padel courts and of course several golf courses. The marina is a short walk away (10 min.) and the town centre a 5-minute drive. The popular family beach, Playa de Cristo with its shallow waters, is also within walking distance. The Police Station is at its entrance, just in case. Estepona is located some 26 km west of Puerto Banus/Marbella and en route to Sotogrande and Gibraltar. It is sheltered on the north by the striking Sierra Bermeja mountain range. Fronting the full length of the town is a wide sweeping beach, complemented by a beautiful promenade with kids’ playgrounds, restaurants, bars, etc. Like a lot of coastal towns in southern Spain, Estepona started out as a fishing village and has developed organically over centuries rather than rapidly over decades. As a result, it is still refreshingly low key and has retained its pueblo atmosphere with a characterful old town full of narrow cobbled streets and tiny plazas edged with cafes. Its palm-tree lined avenues, parks thick with flowers and streets full of plant blooms, spilling out of the pretty pots have earned Estepona the sobriquet “The Garden of the Costa del Sol”. Estepona is the new place to be in Costa Del Sol! Fantastic old white village with restaurants and bars, and unique shopping in small stores. Estepona has a working fishing port where you can watch the boats return with their catch. The adjoining Marina is home to numerous bars and restaurants, which are even livelier at night. It’s a great place to admire the small pleasure craft moored or to hire a boat. The marina is also the site of a very popular Sunday market. Estepona has one beach club called Puro beach situated in Laguna Village with shopping, nice restaurants and pool party events. In the holiday season, we recommend to make a reservation for sun beds at Puro Beach. There is also a new more kids friendy beach club called El Ancla in San Pedro. There are several Chrinquitos (small beach bars with sunbeds) in Estepona. More information about Estepona, restaurants, maps and excursions is available in the pink folder in the house.
