The attractive market town of Kirkbymoorside on the edge of the North York Moors National Park is only a few minutes away on foot. The space The wonderful Riverside Cottage, located within 12 acres of private land, offers a stunning secluded break with uninterrupted views across natural farmland. The tree lined River Dove flows gently through the grounds, home to an abundance of amazing wildlife with kingfishers, herons, otters, squirrels and more to see. The cottage has been stylishly renovated to a high standard and boasts picturesque views across stunning Yorkshire farmland from every window. The South-facing sitting room features patio doors which open onto the delightful garden and an enclosed patio bringing the outside indoors, making al fresco dining an easy option and the perfect place to relax in tranquil surroundings. Riverside Farm Cottage is only a few minutes' walk from the bustling centre of the attractive market town of Kirkbymoorside which lies on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, in between the towns of Helmsley and Pickering. The North Yorkshire coast is easily accessible with the popular seaside resorts of Whitby, Filey and Scarborough all under an hours' drive away. The area has numerous public footpaths and trails suitable for all levels of ability which lead through beautiful countryside. More avid walkers can join the Coast to Coast path and the Cleveland Way long distance walk which starts in Helmsley. Additional Information: The eighth bed is a pull-out trundle bed, making the cottage is suitable for maximum seven adults. Children over five years of age and babes in arms are welcome. Travel cot and high chair available on request. Sorry, no pets. Riverside location next to the River Dove. Fishing rights to the River Dove. Care must be taken as the river may become deep and fast flowing at times. There is open access to water so children must be supervised at all times and ideally should be over the age of 5 years and competent swimmers (in case of a fall). There is no separating wall between the benches and the riverbank which slopes gently into the water. Please note that during the winter months the bridge and paths can become slippery. The river may be deep and fast flowing so children should be supervised at all times around there. There is a wall dividing the cottage from the river. Guests are welcome to collect eggs from the owners hen house. Swimming is prohibited as it disturbs the wildlife. Guests are welcome to walk the fields adjoining the property respectfully as sheep and lambs graze there. The patio is enclosed. A fence divides the garden from the fields but is not fully enclosed. Two folding bicycles and sledges available on request. The owner speaks fluent German. Guest access Ground Floor: Spacious hallway leading to Kitchen/ dining room With an electric oven with separate electric hob, multi- functional microwave, two combined fridge/freezers and an additional fridge, dishwasher, sandwich maker, blender and electric whisk. Dining table and seating for eight guests (five chairs and a bench). Utility room With washing machine and coat storage area, cloakroom and WC. Sitting room Duel aspect room with three sofas, a wood burning stove, 55 inch Smart television with Freeview and a DVD player, Hi-Fi, CD player and digital radio, bird watching equipment, maps, books and games. Patio doors lead to the garden. Bedroom one bedroom With a 6' super-king size four poster bed. En-suite shower room With shower, wash basin and WC. Bedroom two With a 6' super-king size zip and link bed which can be converted to two 3' twin beds on request. En-suite shower room With shower, wash basin and WC. First Floor: Bedroom three With a 5' king-size bed. Bedroom four With a 3' single bed and a 2'6 pull out trundle bed (suitable for a child). Family bathroom With a bath and separate walk-in shower, wash basin, WC and heated towel rail. Outside: Enclosed patio area accessed via an iron gate or from the sitting room patio doors, Rattan garden chairs and coffee table, gas barbecue, lawn area with post and rail fencing. Folding bicycles and sledges available on request. Parking for three to four cars on driveway. Guests are welcome to respectfully walk the surrounding fields where sheep and lambs graze. A fence divides the garden from the fields but is not fully enclosed.
